I am a pagan and witch, on my path now for over 10 years. I currently reside in the Chicago area. I have one 10+ year-old feline friend, named Ganymede, who has been with me since Oct. 1999. I am drawn to the Celtic gods mostly, but have deities I adore from a couple other pantheons. I describe myself as a Witch and an eclectic Pagan, and I incorporate Wiccan practices into my ritual, religion, and spiritual practices; however, I would not describe myself as solely Wiccan. My Spirit Guide is the Tiger. I used to refer to Tiger as my Totem, but I am not sure his place in my life reflects the true definition of the word. I really can't remember how Tiger came to me, but he's been with me for 11 years. In reality, I am a big fan of saving the tiger so he doesn't disappear from our planet. Long live the Tiger and his Spirit!! Also, another spirit guide to me is Horse. I love the horse and the spirit of the horse and the freedom he represents. Horse is wise and steadfast, and I feel I should overtake the planes and fields of my life just as Horse runs the planes of his. As I said, I currently reside in Chicago, but my favorite place to be is in Texas, of course. I miss the place I grew up, now that I can appreciate it. I miss the smell of fresh cut hay and the taste of wild dew berries. I spent about half my life in Texas, and have been gone over 3 yrs now and have only been back to visit 3x since. I miss it, I miss Waco, the little big town...LOL. I miss the peace, the comfort and the slowness. I love reading a lot. I love the cinema, and am a huge Joaquin Phoenix fan; hence, my profile photo! I am a huge WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) fan. Yep, I am one of those! LOL. In my spare time, I am a fiction writer, writing novels and screenplays, and also poetry. I started writing over 20 years ago.

- I have several favorite books & authors, but the ones that come to mind currently are: Light on Snow, by Anita Shreve (I like other books from her too); Emperor, by Stephen Baxter (& looking forward to reading more of that series); Gone with the Wind, by Margaret Mitchell - which has to be my all-time favorite book.
I love all of The Vampire Chronicals, by Anne Rice. I do like a lot of Stephen King's work, although I hate to say it, I am not a true fan of horror... I am easily frightened and I get freaked out...LOL! ;-)
Some of my favorite "New Age", Pagan and Wiccan authors are Eilleen Holland, Scott Cunningham, Ray Buckland, Phyllis Curott, Konstantinos, Ann Moura, Starhawk & Patricia Monaghan. I also like some more scholarly authors or those who study and write about more mythology and culture of more ancient times such as Miranda Green, Arthur Cotterell, Ronald Hutton, & Nigel Pennick.

- I am polytheistic - of couse! I utilize Tarot and Runes, and enjoy studying Astrology. In the practice of my craft, I utilize mostly the flame, as in candle magick.

Also, I am interested in Astrology and have been studying it on and off for many, many years. I love to look at the birth charts of those I know and see if they match up to the person's personality and characteristics. It's great fun!

- My favorite fictional hero is Scarlett O'Hare; in real life, Princess Diana; Mother Teresa; Oprah Winfrey; Hillary Clinton; and all of our military guys and gals who are so brave. My biggest hero is my father. I miss you, Dad.
- Likes
- I like sunny days and cool mornings. I love children... mommies don't know how lucky they are! I like the sound of the country night, the ocean, and Fall's whistling winds. I like people, even though I am not fond of all we do.
I love animals too. I love the mystery of foreign woods as I drive by them in my car. I love to peer through the trees to try and catch a glimpse of fairies or Cernunnos.
I love the color of the Fall as the leaves in the Midwest and other parts north turn pretty mixture of colors of red, gold, brown, tan and black.
I love the sound of my snoring cat!! I love the sound of laughter coming from my 7 year old niece when she's happy.
Mostly, I love life although it's difficult... Heck, I can't even bare to picture the world without me!! ;-)
- Dislikes
- I don't like people who tend to know everything. I don't like fakes, and I don't like bossy folks or users. I don't like people who hurt their children, or kick small animals just because they can. I don't like chronic liars - just tell the truth as long as it doesn't kill anyone. Hey, we are all givers and takers of the little white lie... but leave the whoppers to Burger King.
I don' t like posers, and I especially don't like people who come to paganism, witchcraft, wicca and the like to "cast spells" and dance "nekked" in the moonlight, or have sex in the woods with strangers on Beltaine. Please....

I Lost My Spirituality, But Found It Again!...

Still... 10 yrs later... Why Should I Be Afraid To Be Truthful?
Someone who knows me saw on my MySpace page that I posted the badge advertisement for my PaganSpace page. Then came here and saw that I linked back to my MySpace page.
This person asked me why i did this, seeing that I also linked my writing from both sites to The Writer's Cafe where I post under my real name. The person asked me why I would join PaganSpace under "Macha" and then link to MySpace and The Writer's Cafe where I use my real name. She said she thought this linking could hur

To Hug or To Not Hug....
Yep, that seems to be the current question on the minds of school officials and parents everywhere.
I tend to think that we should hug in schools. I hugged all throughout school... My parents didn't have a problem with me doing the nasty with boys or whatever, because I hugged someone. I guess I did most of my hugging with other girls... well, that didn't cause any problems in my household either. I don't think suspension is a just punishment for hugging. Please. That's appalling to me

I absolutely love music. I was trying to decide what would be the first song to download here on PaganSpace and chose Carlyle Fraser's "Brenna's Song". I hope you all enjoy this song. I do believe I will upload another song from this CD, Celtic Serenity, but can't seem to decide which one.
