Awe shucks, thanks Marc. Man, I sure am going to miss you. I've also enjoyed your contributions, and of course your sense of humor. Don't be a stranger. I still have Myspace!
Speaking of looking for a grad school...I saw that Cherry Hill seminary is going to be offering an actual Master of Divinity program based in Pagan theology. It's a 72 hour program (OMG). I'm mulling over the possibility of doing it, and also trying to imagine what the hell I would do with it!
I like that series, too. My favorite, though, is the SPQR series by John Maddox Roberts, just because it's funny as well. I absolutely hated the books with that Falco guy in it. There are still a lot being written about that period. I also really like the Hannah Trevor series, which is set just after the Revolutionary War, by Margaret Lawrence. Absolutely horrendous what those people went through during and after t he war.
That song would have been okay if your nephew is in his late 20's. I can just imagine the slow dawning of horror on the parents' faces as the music played. Just imagine Little Timmy singing the "bashed his cock onto a rock" line over and over. I think cake would have erupted through my nose.
I decided to change it as I looked like a complete dork in the other one. Also, that mysterious smile in this picture is due to the fact that I replaced the cat in my pants with an eel.
I don't think this is sinking in to them. Lest I be "posting other peoples' opinions". It's all a bunch of New Age BS to me as well. I think people need to learn to think for themselves.
