About Me:: A college student majoring in cultural anthropology. I have far too many hobbies so I never complete my projects before beginning a new one. I love all creature great and small, fuzzy and slimy, but I wish mosquitoes didn't love me back. I'm on an Epic Quest For Knowledge, but so far I've only learned enough to realize how little I know. I collect books, rocks, and Egyptian stuff. Someday I would like to teach a workshop on crystal magic from the perspective of a geologist, or a workshop on making rune sets.

Beliefs / Practices: Pagan, Witch, Wiccan, Heathen

Other Beliefs/Practices: I'm a weird mix of Wiccan practices and rituals with Egyptians gods and Norse runes thrown in. *shrug* My patron god is Set, lord of chaos, storms, power, and sexuality. I also love Isis, Anubis, Serket, Freya, and Pele (whom I had a wonderful visit with on my trip to Hawaii!). Recently I've taken a liking to Loki as well.

I believe in a universal power that is greater an all of us that runs the universe the way a computer runs programs. No, I do not think it interferes with out daily lives. Whatever gods we believe in are the constructs of our own minds, and out collective belief in their existence creates the wellspring of power we draw upon when invoking them. They are archetypes, given a name and personalities so we can better connect with them.

I don't know where we go when we die, or if life is a matter of fate or many coincidences. I prefer to think that it is all random, but a crafty person can see the patterns and use them to affect the result. Magic is harnessing the power all things in the universe have and using it to influence a pattern to your favor. Most of it is mind over matter, the rest is miraculous and unexplainable.

I believe in cursing; that is, if you are wiling to accept responsibly for you actions if it backfires. Personality, I do not curse others, I am merely proactive in my defense. For example, I am planning to place a spell on my car that curses people to get caught by the police when they break the law and drive recklessly. Luckily, I am a good driver, so I won't be caught by my own trap.

I work with runes and crystals a lot. Most of my magic is very "folky," charm bags filled with herbs, crystals, and the like. I've found magic doesn't need to be complicated to work. Sometimes in life less is more.

Hobbies: Reading, writing fanfiction, belly dancing, singing, pottery, sketching, and a hundred other things and projects I never complete.
