- About Me:
- I'm a thirty-something who has called the Windy City home for the past 11 years. I come from a mixed European heritage, and I am a man who loves men. I'm one of those "Creative types" who marches to the beat of his own drummer. I enjoy meeting all types of people and honor the diversity of a global community whenever I can. Theatre has been my work while performing as a musician and teaching voice are my consistant passions. Both reflect my life and experience. Currently I'm enjoying being a part of Terra Mysterium-a pagan performance troupe of musicians, actors, poets, and fire perfomers. I'm also an ordained neo-Pagan clergyman, a scholar of Earth-based religious movements, and one of the founders of the Brotherhood of the Phoenix a neo-Pagan order for men who love men with 501(c)3 status. While I do enjoy the pleasures of the modern urban living, ultimately I seek to help create a more sustainable way of life that honors diversity, ecology, and the best of human endeavor. I'm happiest when I'm engaged in work that honors the land and promotes health for everyone.

- Having worked at a bookstore I cannot possibly list all of my favorites here so I'll list my favorite genres and some favorite authors instead: Philosophy, mysticism, mythology, historical fiction. Charles de lint, Storm Constantine, Toby Johnson, Joseph Campbell, Allen Moore, Lon Milo DuQuette, Morgan Llewellyn, Ann Patchet, Ian McEwan, Daniel Quinn, Allen Ginsberg, Umberto Eco and oh so many more.

- I believe that Heroism isn't the best best trait to idealize or encourage in humanity. That being said, I can find traits that I admire in almost anyone I meet. When I encounter another's great intelligence, talent, skill, courage or, any other profound ability, I try to find words to convey my sense of wonder and appreciation to them directly.

- Intelligent conversation, ecstatic spirituality, men in satin pirate outfits, kind and caring people, excellent music, playing my harp or piano, sensual food, devotion to healthy idealism, and the items under hobbies.

I truly hope that you dont mind, and this may be a silly question, but do you have to a member of The actual Brotherhood of the Phoenix to be a member of the Brotherhood group on this site? But maybe I would not get eanything out of the group, not being a member of the actual Brotherhood?
I must say that I'm very much interested in the brotherhood but naturally limited by living in Denmark and not Chicago :)
