Buried treasures at the folks house

My dad turned 80 this weekend and a bunch of us 'kids' (there's seven of us) decended upon our parents house earlier today. Well, I got there before mom and dad got back from church and my one brother was looking for stones my mother told him about. My dad is a pack rat and rarely throws anything away. Little did I know, he's been collecting agates, crystals, and other fancy stones with the intention of 'doing something with them'. My dad's got great intentions but no follow through on most of… Continue

Ok, so my computer crashed sometime Monday night and I only just now got it fixed! I never realised just how much of an addict I really am. Yikes. Thankfully my brother had a spare power supply that I could use. But as he works an opposite shift, I had to wait. At least it was an easy fix.

a poem I wrote sometime ago

Wind swept fields of frozen snow

A gust of moisture laden air

A chance shower of early spring

The eternal cycle begins again

The budding trees and early blooms

Snow melt run off streams and pools

The cool nights and warming air

Hints at summer almost here

Birds chorus in daily song

Buzzing bees and dancing flies

Distant peel of thunder clouds

Rings in midsummer clear and loud.

Growing grass and deep green… Continue

something to think about

We are touched by so many people in our lives. Some we enter into when we are born, others we find on our path to the future. Each person leaves us with an echo of themselves etched in our souls. We may, in time, no-longer remember them, for memories fade into each other, but that echo remains.

actually, i think i saw that book somewhere, and if not, it'll be fairly easy for me to find one way or another (i know a librarian and they can find ANYTHING in no more than a day!) so i'm good there. as far as making a set goes, i have some tools (i'm a truck mechanic) so that's not a problem either! and i live near enough to the twin cities so, if you do decide you want to do some work together, be sure to let me know!

once again, thanks for the help!
