About Me:

I'm not sure I call myself pagan, certainly not a witch as some have suggested to me, that word has never held any resonance with me.

A practitioner of the occult sciences, is perhaps the best way of putting it.

I follow Hermetics as my main path, but I also explore a number of other paths as well. I spend a lot of time musing and introspecting, using my beliefs as a lens to better understand myself and the world around me.

On the other side of things, I indulge my creative side being a graphic designer and animator (Mainly 3D animation but some 2D as well), I make costumes for competitions and my own amusement (So far I've won two comps and come runner up in three), see my photos for more on that. I also enjoy writing and drawing, though I'm not nearly as good at those as I am the previous two skills.

I like reading, mainly history, crime fiction, science fiction, and of course books on paganism and the occult.

Sports wise, I enjoy rock climbing (indoor and outdoor cliffs. Mostly I try to keep fit generally.

I'm trying to get to know people in the Sydney pagan community, So far I'm not having much luck, so if you're a Sydney dweller, feel free to say hi!

"Black" "White" Magic, what is this nonesense?

I've heard much discussion on the matter of so called "Black Magic" and "White Magic", especially among newcomers. It is a very regular occurrence that I check the various occult forums I frequent and find posts in the beginners section asking for information on "Black" or "White" magic, as if they are completely separate things like water and oil.

I know I have previously posted this as a discussion however for ease of reference I am making this a blog post as well.

I used to be dead asleep by 9. But I have gone onto another job so I can study this year, and the rain sounds too beautiful to miss.
And as for magick at night, I prefer doing rituals or meditating at night when everyones asleep and it's quiet. And I don't know why but I feel so much more aware and all my senses are sharpened. So of course that makes for stronger resolve thus stronger rituals.
