About Me:
I have three sons who are very spread out in age-- 14, almost 10, and 2.

I am a classically trained vocalist (dramatic mezzo-soprano ) who is interested in any professional, collaboration, or band opportunities. I attended TTU and majored in English with the intention of going into the editorial side of publishing. I have been acting for almost 30 years off and on, both in the theatre and on television.

I have often been told that I should move to Canada or Europe for my views and it doesn't bother me at all. I would be happy to move to a country where I think they govern better. However, no one is offering to pay my moving expenses! We have faced homelessness more than once and yet, I still contributed out of my weekly paychecks from my last job to a fund to help out employees facing a crisis situation. I may not have all the comforts that wealthier people have but I do have the comfort of knowing that I have remained a good person and can hold my head up high.

So, yeah...I'm your average, boring, old, anarchist? ...communist? maybe just liberal, or what-have-you-- Pagan mom living in a red state...or something. Hell if I know, really.

You Scored as Celtic Pantheonic Pagan

Your answers leaned very close to that of the Celtic Pantheon. Very popular now among pagans, the Celtic Gods seem to draw those who are sensitive and insightful, but also very passionate about their beliefs. Many Pagan Holidays are named for this pantheon and here is where you'll find many stories on Horned God, Green Man, and Druids. You likely either have been or want to visit Stonehenge one day. Many Arthurian legnds include references to the Celtic faith, as well.

Health Care

Dr. Howard Dean is drawing a line in the sand. A public health insurance option is the only way to guarantee health care for all Americans. And to show that we mean business, we all need to tell Congress we won't settle for less.

I signed Howard Dean's petition, and if 250,000 of us sign, he will personally deliver it to Congress. Can you join me at the link below?

Fair Pay

I Am Progress and Moms Rising are telling the U.S. Chamber of Commerce: “Get out of the way of fair pay.” The corporate lobby group has been the loudest voice on Capitol Hill against stronger fair pay laws.

The campaign aims to build support for the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act and the Paycheck Fairness Act and knock down the Chamber’s bogus arguments against the fair pay legislation.

Lilly Ledbetter is the Alabama woman who, after documenting some two decades of earning less than the men doi… Continue

Farewell, W

The following is an article written by William Rivers Pitt.

From: Your biggest fan
Re: Your imminent unemployment

Greetings, Mr. Bush.

I was sorry to hear about the passing of your cat, India. Eighteen years is a long time for a cat - my mother has one that's 20 and still going strong, if you can believe it - and I'm sure India had a comfortable, caring life with your family.

I got to spend part of last weekend with an old friend of mine. He's a bit older than 18, and he's… Continue

I don't know, every where that I've work everyone was paid the same and received the same raises and bonuses. I have lost a job due to in-sourcing (a term from a movie i have watched). 10 of us were terminated for job performance, but how was that when the companies porfit was the highest it had been in 10 years, I hadn't missed a day in 4 years, and my production rate was at 150%. They found it was cheaper to fire 10 of us and hire 15-20 Hispanic workers. see what I mean, this is a normal practice among my corporations nation wide. you are griping about maybe a $1/hr or a couple thousand a year when there are millions of hispanic workers making less than minimum/minimum wage doing skilled labor jobs. Would you work as a welder for 5-6 bucks an hour, when the whites around you are making $12+ an hour? My neighbor works 4 12hr days and makes $360 a week gross in a machine shop. I work in machine shop doing the same job and in 40 hours my take home is $485, that's after all deductions. I'm not saying that pay for women is less important, but look at the difference. Ethnic minorities are taken advantage far more often, and paid wages that are ridiculously lower than any white person would ever make. I don't live in Utah, and don't wish to. I live in the "hard working" Midwest. I lost my job a couple years ago, i am a single father of 2 sons that receives no child support. I went to get help from the state, but I was denied the help because i "make too much". You tell me how it is, with no form of income is "making too much". A neighbor of mine has lived next to me for 2 years now, she has not worked since she moved in, and she receives full welfare benefits. I was just looking for help with a little food, how does that work. where I live all these laws favor women, including a sexual harassment, and the only people underpaid are ethnic minorities.
