- I live in torrington CT...i am a practicing asatruar. I am looking for other likeminded people to share thoughts with possibly get together with on holidays. I have tried other avenues such as those meet up sites...end up with too many people that don't even know what asatru is, yet they claim to be practicing it! Hope fully this site will turn out better.
I started out when i was 15 with wicca, read alot of books, tried out different things, by the time i was about 17, had a fairly mystical experience and just knew i needed to find something, or rather that something had found me and i needed to discover what it was...turned out i had heard the call from the north and i never looked back.

- I enjoy stephen king books. History books both fiction and real history...obviously books relating to paganism and heathenism in general although i have grown weary of most of the llwellyn series.
i have finished reading Elves, Wights, and Trolls by Kveldulf Gundarsson, and i was re-reading our troth volume 2. both were very good, i am currently reading reading, myths of the norsemen by H.A. Guerber.

- More specifically I try to follw the Icelandic ASATRU more than the english or the german recreations...seems to fit me alot better. I am very drawn to nature and nature spirits and am very interested in the mysteries of the natural world.
- Hobbies
- I play drums in a band, i also play bass on the side. Other than music i have almost no hobbies...i read alot, and i mean alot....but i don't consider it a hobby.
- Likes
- Death metal, movies mostly horror and old comedy. My kids and wife(in that order....just kidding)
- Dislikes
- waking up, being tired, and not having food in the house when i am hungry...my kids eat alot of my food before i get to it.

depths of my darkness
wife left. came home again. after 4 days left again. said i didnt change. she's not happy. nothing more. so, why aint she happy. i dont know, she wont tell me. seems to me she is being brainwashed by her white trash family. this is true, one of her sisters whom is on my side says she is being "talked to" by their mother everyday, and that she is trying to convince her to go on state assistance. If i know my wife, she will get fed up with this real fast. but i do now know the reason why she left… Continue

this link refers to my wife's very good friend. she was the oldest of 3 children, her parents barely have the $$$ to properly bury her, and she had no life ins. alot of private parties are stepping up to help, but i have noo idea it will be enough. all i can say is anyone who reads this to keep it in thought and maybe some positive energy in their direction will help with something...

nothing better than death
i found this online book version of a real book...it is about life after death, but not someone's dreaming up of it, it is based on actual first hand accounts of near death experiences(NDE'S), and it is amazing. Since i recently past the 12 month mark of losing my mother to cancer when i found this i was immediatly drawn to it.
