Ancient ways.

I've always known the 'sign of absolution' to be a catholic thing, using your hand to make the sign of the cross but just recently, in my Kabala studies, discovered that Solomon used it as well, which pre dates the whole christian use of it..Does anyone know of or familure with the ancient hebrew sign of absolution?Thanks for the help.
