Favorite Books
There are too many books I enjoy to list out favorites, but here are a few of my Favorite Quotes:

“Ritual is to the internal sciences what experiment is to the external sciences” – Dr. Timothy Leary

“The only known constant in the Universe is change.” – Unknown source

“Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.” – Sigmund Freud

“Your vision will become clear only when you look into your heart ... Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens.” – Carl Jung

“Reason alone does not suffice.” – Carl Jung

“The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed.” -- Carl Jung

“Why is psychology the youngest of the empirical sciences? Why have we not long since discovered the unconscious and raised up its treasure-house of eternal images? Simply because we had a religious formula for everything psychic — and one that is far more beautiful and comprehensive than immediate experience. Though the Christian view of the world has paled for many people, the symbolic treasure-rooms of the East are still full of marvels that can nourish for a long time to come the passion for show and new clothes. What is more, these images — be they Christian or Buddhist or what you will — are lovely, mysterious, richly intuitive.” – Carl Jung

“No psychic value can disappear without being replaced by another of equivalent intensity.” -- Carl Jung

“Bisexuality immediately doubles your chances for a date on Saturday night.” – Woody Allen

“My deeply held belief is that if a god anything like the traditional sort exists, our curiosity and intelligence are provided by such a god. We would be unappreciative of those gifts... if we suppressed our passion to explore the universe and ourselves.” – Carl Sagan

“God is a circle whose center is everywhere and whose circumference is nowhere.” – Empedocles

“The Church says that the Earth is flat, but I know that it is round. For I have seen the shadow on the moon and I have more faith in the Shadow than in the Church.” – Ferdinand Magellan

“I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use.” – Galileo Galilei
Beliefs / Practices
Pagan, Witch, Wiccan, Other Spirituality
Other Beliefs/Practices
Practice meditation and some shamanic journeying.

My spirituality is very Nature-based (which is different from Nature-worship, which I don't do).

I consider myself to be a Wiccan and a Witch, and unlike some, I do not consider those words to be interchangeable (although because I am evolving and growing--see above--this could change at any time!). I believe one can be a Wiccan without having to embrace the label Witch, just like one can certainly be a Witch but not necessarily Wiccan. At the end of the day, I guess it depends on how one defines Wiccan and Witch.

I'm always open to hearing about other paths and ways of seeing the world. And love making connections/friends from all over the globe with like-minded folk.

Very interested currently in Greek, Roman and Celtic mythology, energy work including Reiki, and seeking clarity in my views on Deity (wrestling with the idea of Deity as a concept versus Deity as a reality).

You are The Moon

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Moon is a card of magic and mystery - when prominent you know that nothing is as it seems, particularly when it concerns relationships. All logic is thrown out the window.

The Moon is all about visions and illusions, madness, genius and poetry. This is a card that has to do with sleep, and so with both dreams and nightmares. It is a scary card in that it warns that there might be hidden enemies, tricks and falsehoods. But it should also be remembered that this is a card of great creativity, of powerful magic, primal feelings and intuition. You may be going through a time of emotional and mental trial. This time however, can also result in great creativity, psychic powers, visions and insight. You can and should trust your intuition.

What Tarot Card are You? Take the Test to Find Out.

Yao! Your intellectual posts are very impressive. I just finished Plato's Sophist and he says the Heraclitean school can't be entirely right: there must be some constancy along with the flux.

Part of the interest of Plato is reading about the Greek Gods from within the very culture. Are you a Platonist or at least reader of his?

I wade through a lot of nonsense and meaningless rhetoric to find people like you here on PS.

I wish you the brightest of blessings and look forward to following your comments as well. : ) The photo below was made by Chandra and the glowing arch in the center of the picture is something that NASA says they can't identify.
