While I Slept

I had an awful day at work yesterday, but while I slept I received an Editor's Choice Award for my latest article, "Canoeing, Kayaking on Turkey Creek in Niceville, FL." This is my second award, the first having been on "Canoeing Florida's Econfina Creek." I hope this means that today's going to be a better day.

Paddling into Nature

Ever since the water warmed up I've had my kayak out just about every weekend paddling down different creeks. Kayaking is a great way to get out and experience nature at its absolute best, allowing you to float into another world removed from civilization. Vacation Return

Just got back from vacation and uploaded the pictures here. We did some gem mining, visited one of the local gem & mineral museums, and hiked a 15 mile section of the Appalachian Trail from North Carolina into Georgia (Deep Gap to Dick's Creek). I plan to use some of the photos for an upcoming project and will post more on that later. Grueling hike that was well worth the experience.
