Sung to the music of Walking in a winter wonderland. Photobucket
Tarot cards are you listening
Crystal balls are you glistening
The quarters are charged, we're wizards at large
We're walking in a Wiccan Wonderland
In the meadow we will cast a circle
And pretend that it's a geosphere
We'll have lots of fun upon the altar
Until an evil spirit chances near

Photobucket
Later on we'll perspire
And get drunk by the fire
We'll dance without clothes 'cause nobody knows
We're walking in a Wiccan Wonderland
All you Pagans come on gather round us
Raise your chalice and join in our cheer
We'll have lots of cakes until the Sun comes
And chase it with another keg of beer.
After all is said and done
Bye to Spirits that have come
Please stay if you will or go if you must
We're walking in a Wiccan Wonderland

Hello! It may seem early, but I believe that the Wheel of the Year does not lurch suddenly from one Sabbat to the next, but rolls gently and serenely along the Path. Therefore, as it rolls towards Yule, I have updated my page to assist it on its way. I hope you find something there that speaks to you too.

The Wheel is turning to Samhain and I have changed my page to reflect the Sabbat and the Deities I honour at this time, which I consider my New Year. I hope that you find something there that is of interest to you!

Samhain is a time when the bridge that separates the world of the living and the world of the dead becomes firmer, allowing spirits and ghosts and ghouls to cross over. These spirits or departed souls are honored and asked to grant luck and prosperity. Regardless what you call it today it is a festival dedicated to the dead
As the dead can enter this world the barrier to future 'worlds' is weakest at this time. All around the island of All Hallows Eve the barriers fall. This day was often selected for a scrying or glimpse of the future.

As the souls of the dead walk the land so do the evil spirits, people wear masks and light bonfires to scare them away.
In Ireland people went door-to-door collecting food and sticks or turf for a feast and bonfire. Those who gave got good luck; those who did not got bad luck.

Ogden Pagan Pride Day

Tomorrow, 30 Aug 2008, in Ogden, Utah is our Pagan Pride Day. I am in the mystery play, "The Ship" by Crowley and I need healing energy if you can spare some! I have a horrible sinus infection and I have to sing... (well attempt to sing! lol!)
If anyone in Utah is reading this, PPD will start at 11 am and go until 7pm with the main ritual at 3:00 pm. There are vendors, workshops and food. Admission is a non-perishable food item and for each item you will recieve a ticket for the door prizes.

Death came in 2's

It has been a sad few days for myself and my daughters. Friday, my oldest daughter lost her job, my youngest daughter's 2 yr had a fever of 106.5...... to top off their day, they found out that their father had been shot and killed in Baghdad 13 feb 2008. That was hard enough...... then Sat., my mother calls me and informs me that my brother died sat morning 16 Feb 2008. All in all, this has been a very trying weekend.
I hope you all have had a better one.

Time for .......

This is a 3-day holiday weekend coming up and it gives time for reflection. I re-did my altar to an Egyptian theme, with a touch of my dragon's identity. It is time to go over last year's resolutions, and finalize this year's.

It is also time to thank all the elementals and deities that have helped and provided in the last year. Time to give thanks again.

Blessings!

What a day! It is the beginning of a new year and life is going to be better!

Thanks to all of you that are on my friends list, and those of you that will be on it.

What/who are your deities and what form of magick do you practice?

My deities are Egyptian and I practice dragon magick.
