About Me:: I'm a complicated person (or at least I think I am). I'm passionate yet easy going. I have strong views, yet open to other's ideas. I have a path etc, yet wander through various other paths. I'm gothic inclined, but don't always wear black! I'm unsure if this intro is any good, but I can always change it later (even though I tend not to edit things too much).

Favorite Books: 1984, Fahrenheit 451, The mysteries of Isis, The sacred tradition of Egypt, His Dark Materia series, erm...

Beliefs / Practices: Other Spirituality

Other Beliefs/Practices: I'm heavily into the Egyptian paths. Originally reconstructionist but now more guided by insight, vision and intuition - times have changes and so have some of the lessons.

I am becoming more and more drawn to the belief that all gods are principles shaped from the Divine energy and given life by human thought. One created they become beings in their own right and develop. But It doesn't quite feel right, not yet. Something to think and mediate on..

Hobbies: Reading, drawing, country walks, online computer games, doing crafty (not CRAFT :-P) things

Heroes: Isambard Kingdom Brunel, my good friend Lainee as she is always cheery and supportive despite of her many aliments.

Likes: Cats, Goth music, chocolate, making things, long chats about everything and nothing. Pagan podcasts!!!! I guess you might have guessed I really like Muse by now... and Within temptation

Dislikes: Pushy intolerant people, rap music - ok, ok I do like SOME rap music but it's far and few between.

Farewell to a way of life

The time has come for a change. Too long have I resisted this but now I can no longer deny the pressure growing from within and without.

I am no longer Pagan

By this I mean I am no longer calling myself pagan. I still believe what I believed beforehand but it is no longer considered to be pagan by the local and national pagan mainstream. What on Earth?

This one has been bothering me on and off for a long time so I'm throwing it out into the open.

What is paganism?

A lot of sources, books and internet, often say that paganism is an Earth centred religion/spirituality. But what exactly is 'Earth centred religion/spirituality'?

Sources are a little less than forth coming on this point. Do they mean that you honour the turning of the seasons and the year? Or is it that you see the Earth as divine, either abstractly or personified? Or something… Continue

Unpagan pagan values

(Ramblings of a cynical idealist. Yes it IS possible and boy does it suck at times!)

Why is it that some people say one thing and act the opposite? I'm not talking about the little things in life that are swept away by the ever changing currents of fate and the influence of others, I'm talking about the big stuff, the stuff that is meant to matter - the ideals and values.

The start of something unexpected

This is coming as a bit of a surprise to me as I’m not one for doing a blog. I’ve tried a couple in the past but they have never caught my interest. This time is different, I have a ‘need’ to write one.
