- Shamanic witch on the path of druidry with norse influence. Sounds complicated, but actually it isn't. Member of OBOD (druid order).
My spiritual life is mainly based on celtic druidry, but I am adapting to my surroundings and have adopted spiritual practices and beliefs of norse and finnish shamans as well as sami shamanism.
I was introduced to shamanism early in life by a friend of mine who was half Lakota and had an uncle who was a shaman. I was not ready for it by then and only lately I have discovered the wish to bring structure in my learning.
My main "work" consists of contact to animals souls and animal spirits as well as totems and shamanic guides. I have been honoured by my former guide, Crow, for almost 20 years and have recently taken up careful contact with another guide, a blue-eyed raven who is determined to lead me to become a shamanic healer for animals.
In my everyday life I am 33 years old, mother of a small daughter and I am living on a farm in Finland on a hill watching over a pine forest. Additional to my daughter I'm living with a husband, two dogs, chicken and a cat.
I have worked as a teacher for biology and german literature and language in Germany, later as a private teacher. Later I returned to the university and became a biologist, specialing in ecology and behaviour studies, working with corvids, dogs and reindeer.
Since I had my daughter I am mainly a housewife doing some dog behaviour counselling and I am currently studying to be a holistic healer (specialising in phytotherapy and animal psychology/behaviour).

- My starting point into shamanism was Native American, but I prefer to walk the paths of my own celtic, norse and germanic ancestors, as I am deeply connected to the land I live in.

Is your body your temple?
I have been thinking lately. Is my body really my temple? Am I overemphasizing my spiritual or intellectual life?
Since I had this traumatic encounter with my scale (may the spirts bless its poor soul) about half a year ago I have been thinking a lot about this. This was the moment when something profoundly changed for me. I started to do evil workout to build up some muscles (so I could carry around my heavy weight with a little more dignity), kept a diary with calories, bought vegetables, org… Continue

Hunter's Moon
A little belated, but I needed some time to settle in here!
Tuesday evening, when the sun was about to set and the fogs were rising from the forest and meadows surrounding me, I was running with my dog admiring the beautiful landscape of my new home here in Finland. Forests and fields, old cottages here and then and the golden sun sinking behind dark green hills speckled in golden birches in their autumn dress.
Dark clouds were building an almost scary and bizarre looking contrast to the red an… Continue
