About Me:: I have 2 grown boys, 26 and 32 who I couldn't be more proud of. It's hard thinking of them as 'men', so I still call them my boys. lol Having been a single mom for many, many years, they have been my life. Now they have lives of their own and I have to let go and find something else to do. So I have decided to focus on what really is an important aspect of life. I've been on this path for about 10 years now but find that it's a continuing adventure. Always new things to learn and being here meeting new friends will accomplish alot of that. There's a wealth of information here that I look forward to learning from.
I love animals dearly. I have 6 cats and a pitbull. I had a lot of fish in my pond outside, but they have given up their life to raccoons. I love raccoons too, so they won. They still come back to visit even though I no longer have any midnight snacks for them. lol. II have a very soft spot in my heart for animals and I'm very upset at the daily abuse of animals; using them for experimentation, their fur and people just killing them for the heck of it. The yearly harp seal hunt has me in a constant sadness. How can anyone do that to defenseless animals? Anyway, something has got to be done to stop all this insaneness. I am so amazed at the earth and all we have. There is nothing like it. Anyway, it's very nice to be here and to meet like-minded people.

Favorite Books: Sylvia Browne, Dean Koontz, Stephen King, suspense, suspense, suspense. I learned alot from Scott Cunningham and others. Been reading the Harry Potter series. It's alot of fun and also am in the process of reading Stephanie Meyer's series. I like just about anything if it's exciting!

Beliefs / Practices: Spiritual but not Religious, Pagan, Witch, Wiccan

Canada's annual commercial seal hunt is the largest commercial hunt of marine mammals on the planet. Harp seals are the primary target of the commercial seal hunt, and to a much smaller extent, hooded seals are also killed. In 2006, 98 percent of the harp seals killed were pups under just three months of age. Hundreds of thousands. In fact, over the past three years, nearly one million seals have been killed. This is a cruel and unnecessary activity. It needs to be stopped!

Terminate Arnold!

Once again, state workers are having to 'help' balance California's deficit. I am sick of it. I am sick and tired of all the times we have had to do this. Now it's the worst ever at a 10 percent monthly pay cut by furloughing us 2 days a month beginning in February. He is also laying off 20 percent of state employees. Ghost in the Bathroom at Work!!

I was washing my hands and I heard a huge bang behind me. I turned around to look and as I did, the handicapped stall door swung out about 3/4s of the way and slammed shut. Same noise I had heard when I was facing the sink. So it did it twice! I thought, maybe someone walked right by me and into the stall so I looked under it to see if I saw any feet. No feet. My Son's First House

My son and his sweetie have just bought their first home. After looking at dozens of houses, they finally chose one. There was no way they would have been able to buy one without it being a foreclosure. Unfortunately, someone had to lose something in order for them to gain. That's the sad part.
