My Run For the U.S. House of Representatives

I have been told for years that I need to run for office. It has always seemed a bit daunting, however I have never believed the lie that all politicians are crooks. I have known many state, local and federal representatives over the years and can attest that perhaps the majority are, and many more are duplicitous, however, that will not be the way I work in Congress. Those who have read my other blogs know a bit about what motivates me, what issues concern me and a bit about my approach to…See More

Great Book & Green Bay's Temple To The Sun

I have rededicated my efforts to bring a pagan sanctuary to Green Bay, Wisconsin. There is no doubt that, as Todd Rundgren says, the entire planet is holyland (sacred ground) Having a place to mark and honor Grandmother Moon, Father Sun, all the planets and the energies of the Earth herself is becoming evermore necessary. Anyone interested in helping, please contact me. The book that I mentioned in the headline/title is Prehistoric astronomy in the Southwest by Malville and Putnam.See More

About Me:
Father, Grandfather, shaman, exterior decorator, ecologist, artist, efficiency expert, stagehand. I believe in lifelong learning and sharing knowledge with seekers. I have wanted to heal the schism between mankind and nature since childhood. The local non-profit that my wife and I started five years ago has already planted over thirty-five thousand trees across Northeast Wisconsin. I am fascinated by permaculture and sustainability. I continue to fund raise for a retreat center, adventure resort, our reforestation projects and organic subscription farm. We work to preserve a large acreages, protecting them from development and creating a legacy for the next seven generations.

Michigan Trees, Brave New World, A Biodynamic Farm, 1984, The Natural Step, Farenheit 451, Ecoshamanism, Animal Farm, Rural Renaissance, Watership Down, any Hesse, Living on 12 volts, Witches Circle and whatever I'm reading at the moment.
Beliefs / Practices
Spiritual but not Religious, Pagan, Shaman, Native American Spirituality, Druid
Other Beliefs/Practices
I was raised a Unitarian Universalist, and believe that indigenous and tribal ways are essential to heal the earth and her people. I practice karma yoga, the art of the give-back, storytelling, honoring the earth through ritualized art, event theater and planting as many native trees as donations allow. I believe that we have to reestablish ourselves as integrated in nature rather than as the earth's oppressors if we are to continue providing future generations a place to exist here on the planet. I also believe that the idea of thinking globally is out of the question. Like perceiving "God, or Goddess" is beyond the range of our capacities. All that is left is to think and act locally. We can only live what we know. Tune in, turn on, drop out, only then can you begin to rebuild the world of the future. The rune that represents the empty pot has been influential in my life because I came from nothing and will return to nothing, but along my path lies limitless bounty. It is only through selfless giving that we open ourselves to the profusion of nature's gifts.
Hobbies
Art, bikes, canoes, camping, permaculture, energy efficiency improvements, renewable energy, tree planting and care. Some change with the seasons, and bring me into more intimate contact with Mother Earth's cycles.
Heroes
Anyone who isn't afraid to stand up for themselves, especially their beliefs. Abe Lincoln, I think he would be spinning in his grave if he knew what the wealthy had done to his party! All of our brethren who wake up each day with next to nothing, but share all they have to make life tolerable for others.
How did you find PaganSpace?
Looking for friends I haven't met yet in Wisconsin. Instead I found them from around the planet!

Here, we call to the spirits of place. We humbly ask their Blessings as we struggle to understand how we fit into their divine plan.

I ask for the clarity with which the moon's light reflects the sun, the ability to choose my words in such a way as to enlighten those who are able to hear them, and give thanks for the love of the ancestors who gave us form under Her watchful eye. I offer myself in humble service to the deities of the night, my family and the friends gathered in respectful reverence of Mother Earth, who shares her breast with us from cradle to grave. Father Sun, whose love for mankind enlivens and breathes life into all plants and animals. Grandmother Moon, whose great influence creates the ebb and flow within us all. May we be at peace with your pace, and may our full hearts mirror your fullness tonight.

Silent Too Long

I may be just one voice speaking in the wilderness, but Lord and lady both know, I am busy being a stand for healing the planet. This in turn must lead me back to family and my roots, so here we go again, I will make the foray into the digi-realm for my pagan tribesmen and womyn. We have been experiencing exactly the types and kinds of disasters worldwide that make sense in a spiraling out of control climate would suggest and there have been many interesting facts that have come to light…

Thank-you Rainbow Family!

Posted on July 5, 2012 at 8:16am 2 Comments

This year, I especially needed to know that thousands of peaceful loving folks were gathered in a national forest to pray for peace and the enlightenment of humankind. The fact that the oldest and one of the largest non-organizations on the planet was brought together by their shared sense of family is even better. Even though I was separated by physical distance, my heart was with them, praying for peace and honoring the spirits which Lincoln called the better angels of our nature. In…

This is me just before my surgery in 2010. Two of my daughters Danni the youngest, Becky the third one.. My oldest daughter Renee took the picture.. She always likes me to mention that she is the one taking the picture.. LOL.

May you find the healing that I did...Just keep on going the way you are and you will be fine.. The most important thing I can tell you is that don't overdo it when you start feeling better.

Blessings and healing your way.

OMG it hurts so much when a rib pops out. That pain is unreal.. I hope that you are well on the road to healing. I know I fell off a horse in my late 20s and I twisted my whole rib cage and broke my neck. i could not afford a dr. and I didn't realize how bad I was. I thought i had a bad case of whiplash. I had to hold my head to sit up, to lie down. it was crazy. Then years later i had an xray done and my friend wanted to know when I was in the accident. I said I wasn't. And he said well you broke your neck and your ribs are completely twisted so he worked for a long time to get my ribs back in place and for about 15 years I would get sublaxations where they would pop out of place and he taught my husband how to put tthem back in.
It was crazy.
I hope that everything is going good for you.
blessings your way

Thank you so much for your wonderful comment on my page. Your words and (you) mean so much to me.  Life has been on the crazy side here and I am just worn out. Friday I went and got blood work drawn see my dr. on Wednesday and b sure that the cancer is still gone. I get real antsy around this time.

Boy, you sure are one busy person phew!!! Sending you energy...

May your life be filled with joy as the veil thins and are told of secrets of long ago.

In love and light always,

Shadow...

It is so good to hear from you!!! What a wonderful surprise!!! I am glad that you will be able to be at home more that is so important. Things are crazy here.  My husband just told me about a week ago he went to the dr. and he had a heart attack. He is on nitro now and that is not the worst. He has erosion in his esophagus and something like a hernia in it and it could go at anytime. So I have been crying everyday since. My first husband died of the same thing and it was awful when my daughters found his body at his home.  so I am reliving that image over and over... Argh.... I have been doing Reiki on him for the past couple of days and he says he feels a bit better. I know we all have our seasons for everything in our lives. and we must face that one day.. But it sure is hard.

Love and light your way always,

Shadowdance

I wasn't ready for the summer to leave.  Oh well guess all we can do is go with the flow of things no sense kicking and fighting. Really good to hear from you dear friend.

Hey anytime you need some one to talk to I am here.  Sorry that it has taken me so long to answer however.  I don't always get on my page and I feel really bad when I get so far behind.  Life has been ok here. the weather has been crazy yesterday it was 50 degrees and it was raining. But today it is warmer out today and the sun is out.  Feels really good.  How was the wooden boat show? I can imagine how neat it was. and informative.
