About Me:
I was born in Wellington, New Zealand, which is why although I'm white, I can legally say I'm a Pacific Islander - so I do, because it seems to me that all white people have going for them most of the time is their skill at stealing land, women and property; and killing. I don't want that to be on my record. Yeah, that's right - I'm a green-card carrying LEGAL permanent resident. I have a social security number, and a Missouri drivers license. DON'T accuse me of being an illegal alien, or I will HURT you. Somehow. Maybe. I have a dry, sarcastic sense of humor, so don't be surprised if you don't understand the fact that I'm being ironic, mocking, sardonic, cynical, acerbic, mordant, derisive, satirical, and caustic. Yeah, I do need to use all those words, to make sure you understand. I'm also loyal, generous, warm, affectionate, respectful, bossy, opinionated, and tactless. Show up at my house at 3:00 AM with a problem and I will not only let you in, I will put the kettle on, make tea, offer you something to gnaw on, and really listen. I will even (although I'm working on this one) try to fix it for you... and I will not bitch at you about the fact that it's 3:00 AM. I've been a witch my whole life, and I'm disabled, so I have a lot of time, which I devote to reading, researching, and teaching the Magickal arts. I'm not very gifted socially - I make a lot of gaffs, because I'm extremely honest and blunt - tact is definitely NOT my forte. If you're curious about my disability - I'm bi-polar with schizo-affective tendencies. Which is a fancy way to say that I see things that most other people can't see - like I see snow or rain falling three days before it actually snows or rains. The problem is I have no control over my abilities, so I have a hard time dealing with people, and they have an even harder time dealing with me. I'm empathic (if I take my shields down, that is - right now I'm keeping them up most of the time, and an emotional tactical nuke wouldn't make me blink), I am pre- and post-cognitive (which is a fancy way of saying time is a rubber band that broke inside my head - don't expect me to make sense all the time because I'm living faster and slower than you), have some ability as a medium (again, a reason for very strong shields), and I'm a channeler (which basically means don't ask me a question you don't want the answer to - and take the answer you get - even if its the answer to the question you DIDN'T ask). I was Maiden to a wyvern coven in California 15 years ago, High Priestess for a coven in Delaware 9 years ago, and taught a grove in Missouri three years ago. I love to teach magick, and talk about paganism in the modern world. But then... I also like to talk about the roots of any religion, and love to learn about other people's religious beliefs - as long as they don't tell me I'm going to burn. I figure that's a little rude because I don't run around saying "Don't do that or you'll get smacked by Karma three times!" I don't have the right to tell you how to live or what to believe. Don't step on MY toes either. I have been divorced twice, and have one son, by my second husband. My son lives with his grandparents in Kentucky (because they make $350,000/year and I make $643/month) but I get to see him once or twice a year, when they drive down here. I would like to see him more often but I can't afford a car - or the insurance and gas that owning a car would mean. That's me in a nutshell. Well, ok, it's more complicated than this, but I've run out of room. Take the time to get to know me, and maybe I'll tell you the rest... in about ten years.

Favorite Books
I have too many books that I love to choose a favorite... and I'm always finding new ones. I solemnly promise I will never cheat on you... EXCEPT with a book.
Beliefs / Practices
Pagan, Witch, Mystic, Shaman, Druid
Other Beliefs/Practices
As you can see, I'm a bit eclectic. I was raised as a pagan, though my parents insisted we were episcopalian. I found out the truth when I was 15, when I borrowed a book from a friend on witchcraft, and my dad admitted to me that we were witches. I never looked back, mostly because all I ever wanted to be as a child was a witch, and being one is so much better than the dream was - and I'm still learning and growing... I hope that never stops. I love my Craft. Oh, and I have worked with different gods from different pantheons as I've grown, but except for special reasons, I do not name the Goddess or God.
Reading. Teaching magick. Practicing magick. Watching anything with an occult theme on TV and in movies, as long as it's not horror.

Pre-Meditation Exercises

Posted on May 17, 2012 at 3:30pm 0 Comments

When you're learning to meditate, there are a few things that will really help you get into the groove. I cannot stress enough the importance of these practices.

Sacred Space:

Your setting is important. A clean environment, with limited distractions, will settle your mind and spirit. Whether you lie down to meditate or sit up, a comfortable position is also important... you don't want aching knees to scream you out of your trance…

Taurus Full Moon (Snow Moon) Meditation

Posted on November 8, 2011 at 10:00pm 0 Comments

This one is rather short, but may actually take a while to do... and I think it ought to be repeated periodically. That being said... Enjoy and bright blessings.

Center yourself. Connect the core of yourself to the core of the earth. Connect the core of yourself to the core of the universe. Balance the flow, in and out, above and below, in your center.Take three, deep, grounding breaths. The first breath relaxes your body. The second breath relaxes your heart and mind. The…

Scorpio New Moon Meditation

Posted on October 31, 2011 at 3:45pm 0 Comments

Take three, deep breaths. The first breath relaxes your body. The second breath relaxes your heart and mind. The third breath relaxes your soul. You find yourself floating in a river. The water is warm and comfortable, soothing and tranquil. You’re so at ease, so relaxed and calm, that you begin to forget your body, and become one with the water. Your toes are becoming water. Your toes are becoming water. Your toes are water. Your feet are becoming water. Your feet are becoming water. Your…

Aries Full Moon (Hunter's Moon) Meditation

Posted on October 25, 2011 at 1:54am 0 Comments

Sorry this one is a little late, everyone.

Take three, deep breaths. The first breath relaxes your body. The second breath relaxes your mind and heart. The third breath relaxes your soul.

In the center of your body, in your solar plexus, there is a spark. That spark is not only your center, but your spirit. When you connect to your center, and sink into it, you are more your true self than at any other time, and when you connect your own central axis, which…

Libra New Moon Meditation

Posted on October 17, 2011 at 1:21pm 0 Comments

Sorry this one is so late, everyone. Try it out, anyway… this is one that can be done at any time, and I personally think it should be repeated on at least a weekly basis, if not daily.

Enjoy, and Bright Blessings, all.

Close your eyes and take three, deep breaths. The first breath relaxes your body. The second breath relaxes your mind. The third breath relaxes your soul. As you continue breathing deeply, you become aware of the warm sun shining above you. It’s so warm and…
