I have been a spiritual person my entire life. I was born and raised Mormon, I have studied Catholicism for a short time in California and Buddhism while living in Japan. Nothing I have ever tried seems to fit or make sense and I am now trying to find something new. Hopefully something that makes sense to me. I am very excited about the possibilities and am anxious to learn from someone.
It will be tough but I am commited and if you believe that it is at that place at that time that my training should begin then I will make it happen. Can I give you my contact info so you can email, text or call me directly?
I am SO new to this that I'm not even sure what questions I should or should not be asking. I think that I need to have more of basis of knowledge. That is why I approached you, as you know finding anyone around here that will admit to being anything other than LDS is next to impossible. I thought it might be easier to get a starting basis of knowledge from someone close by may be more affective.
You are not a bother at all! If I'm to teach something, I need somewhere to start. I work with Elementals. I'm loosely Wiccan-style and practice witchcraft, astrology, tarot, stone workings, and celebrate the sabbats. I believe in balance so I don't do moon rituals (unless there is a magickal purpose). I don't believe in literal gods. I believe in archetypes and the energy of the Universe expressed through Elementals. I am rarely ceremonial, consider myself right-hand path, and am a combination of self-taught and experienced in a variety of paths without actually becoming a member of an organized coven. Typically a teacher will not offer to teach but will wait for a student to ask. If my style sounds interesting, feel free to ask more questions. If not, give me some ideas of what interests you and I may be able to point you in the right direction.
Thank you. No I really have no idea. I bumped into a man a few weeks back on accident. When I turned around to apologize he asked me what has taken me so long. When I asked what was that supposed to mean he said that there was no more time. He said I needed to be taught. I asked him what the hell he was talking about. He grabbed my left hand and started marking a 7 or star or something in my palm with his finger. He said the time is running out and that he couldn't teach me but I must start searching for a master. He said I would not know them but they would be ready to guide me. I haven't been able to think about much else since this happened and I have no idea what the guy was talking about but I am sure it has nothing to do with Christianity or The LDS. I'm sorry if I came off a little weird with my first comment but I have been looking everywhere I can think of and I haven't found any master, teacher, guide or anything. I'm starting to think it was a joke but if it was it wouldn't make any sense because I have never seen him before and I could not find him 5 minutes after I bumped into him. Anyway when I heard about this website and saw that there was actually someone from STG on here I thought I found what I had been told. I'm sorry for bothering you.
There are a lot of different types of pagans around here. Pagans in southern Utah tend to lay low due to the Christian dominance of the area. Is there a particular path or paths you are wanting to know more about? You may want to check out the Southern Utah Pagan Alliance group if you're on Facebook. There is also a Utah Pagans group here on PaganSpace. I don't get out much myself these days but am willing to answer questions and help you make connections.
