Wisdom of the Black Wing

The Dark Goddess or Dark Mother, embodies the energy we need to become whole, to proceed towards consciousness. Her darkness, much as the earth beneath our feet, the hollowed cave or hallowed mound, speaks of her powers of dissolution, transformation… Continue

Merry Autumn Equinox !

I wish you a great Autumn Equinox / Mabon / Alban Elfed !

Some people say that fall equinox celebration is not traditionnal.
I don't agree with that. Some old megalith have special sun effects around September 22nd, which shows that the old ones did notice and gave some perticular meaning

Basic Celtic Deity Types

Because today most of our exposure to mythology takes place through the literary creations of the Greeks and Romans, we're conditioned to think of it in a literary way and to demand of it a degree of internal logic and consistency which living mythological traditions usually do… Continue

Wedding to the Land

In Celtic mythology, there is a relation between the ruler and deity, and that of the ruler and the land. The king was wedded in a sacred marriage to the goddess that was supposed to ensure the fertility of the land.

Quite often in ancient religions or myths, the earth and lan… Continue

The Laws of Nature

I know the Laws of Nature are you, Lady.
Keep me mindful that I step upon your body,
with your feet,
that my sorrows are your sorrows,
and that a healthy priest(ess) makes all things sound.
I feel your breath in the wind, and your hand in mine.
Keep me sincere.
Give me you

Athena

The Greek Goddess Athena was born from Zeus' head (place of knowlege and intelligence) and she was born with a full war equipement. She is a Goddess of war, quests, but she rather uses diplomacy than weapons.
To please the athenians who were looking for a patron Deity, she gave them the… Continue

Your fires hot and bright

Goddess of Sovereignty

Sovereignty and Ecology : A Celtic Neo-Pagan View Point
by J. S. Kupperman

Sovereignty[1] is the archetypal goddess of the land, and the land She rules over is usually named after Her. Thus Brigantia rules over Britain and Eriu over Ireland.[2] It is through Sovereignty that a person may become king or champion of the land. There are many aspects to Sovereignty and the implications of these aspects are important when looking at the ecological responsibilities of the human race.

The most… Continue

Oh... a blessing just for me :)

Thanks Siannan

Just found this Poem and i dedicate to you...

Night Flower
i been here before,
lurking and playing
at the basement of my head.
been playing the scene
again and again,
changing it, to whatever
ending pleases me.

and as the silvery moon
stared back at me,
as if questioning my sanity,
i laugh to myself
and gave her a playful wink.

is it a sin to be a night flower,
thinking about someone
who were able to fill my thoughts,
day and all through the night?
