I am trying to teach my 6 & 9 year old girls visualizing & meditation. I feel that this is an appropriate age since they are very imaginative now. Anyone have reading materials or suggestions? My only issue I seem to be running into is a big one.....

- I love Music, Faeries, Dragons,& cool Tattoos. I have always been drawn to the old relegion, I just never knew what to call it. I also did not know if it was truly a bad thing, or just someone else's perception of good & bad...right & wrong. I guess when I heard that my great aunt read tea leaves quite accurately, as well as just having the knack of having those dreams that were always just too accurate to question, I wasn't surprised & it explained my curiousity. And she was a well respected person - a GOOD person. She did the readings for family & friends, not for a living. So she was not in it to gain anything. She was a normal person who had some abilities that a lot of people are scared of. So, they write it off as evil, bad, wrong. But she was none of these things. She was just an old lady - who I saw at family reunions only. BUT the 1st time she met my mother she handed her a handmade southern quilt for her daughter. My mother was 17 & just started seeing my dad. So, she accepted it, thanking her - but told her she had no children. My great aunt then said, "No, but within 2 years - you will have a daughter." A year later, my folks married & a year later... HERE I AM!! As a teen, I "toyed" with tarot, ouija, runes. But I never got into the religious aspect, afterall, I was raised Southern Baptist. So just playing with these, I was surely toung with my "salvation" & quite possibly could go to hell. Playing with these without the proper knowledge, was NOT wise, as I saw a lot of things that scared me (& my brothers & friends). Things happened that could not have, should not have happened. Things we could not explain & were too frightened to tell my parents. Besides, they wouldn't believe us, we watched scarey movies & they'd write it off as just scaring ourselves & then tell us not to play with that stuff OR watch so many scarey movies. Does ANY of this sound familiar to ANYONE? Anyhow. I am an adult & I truly tried the Southern Baptist ways I was raised in. (I actually tried several Christian denominations.) I am not saying they are wrong, I have friends & family that believe in it & it works for them. It just was not what Silver was put back on this Earth for. It never felt right to me 100%. I have officially been a Proud Pagan since August 2003. I have found my true calling. I call myself a Solitary Eclictic Wiccan. But I like to learn from everyone really. Pagan & yes, I ever listen to my Christian friends & family. How can I condemn people for their beliefs when we have been condemned for ours for so long? ~*~*~TO EACH HIS OWN PATH & DESTINY is my belief.~*~*~ I am self taught & mostly learned a lot from books & from my own experiences. It was really a path of self discovery for me. But now I feel the need to speak to others with similar intrests & callings. Not really looking to join a "coven". I just would like to feel a sense of community. I truly know 2-3 other Pagans. I would really just like to make some friends.

I am really trying to teach my 6 & 9 year old daughters the basics of the craft, but also allow them to learn & explore other relegions so that they can make their OWN educated decision when they so choose.
