I came upon my pathway in early 1997 while transitioning out of the military (Army of 12yrs) from Ft Bragg, NC and my name is Sstarfyre Wiseroot. "Sstarfyre" was given to me by another Pagan as my common name; due to the issue of the sun bleached hair of mine resembled (or looked like) a star that was on fire. Wiseroot came to me through the Norse Tree Yggdrasil....meaning "knowledge base", which is fine by me because I am always learning something from somewhere. Both names came a year apart too. I consider myself somewhat of a "Gypsy Kitchen Witch" with all the traveling and cooking I have been doing since I have been out of the military, schooling, employment, and just living life. I also do a lot of volunteering through the SAPPD (San Antonio Pagan Pride Day) as the Children's Creative Zone Coordinator, which is ssssssssoooooo much fun and educational for me as it is for them.......Outside of that I work at Schlotzsky's and a Pampered Chef consultant.
My overall favorite book is that of JONATHON LIVINGSTON SEAGULL by Richard Bach. I don't know how many books I have went through since childhood until now....and yes I still have a copy of the book. Behind it is that of WOMEN WHO RUN WITH THE WOLVES by Clarissa Pinkola Estés. Another book that I have gone through many copies of, can start but never finish due to some people borrowing it and never returning it, or I never can finish it and just pass it on. I also have the WITCHING HOUR trilogy by ANNE RICE.....my room mate has read all three, but still have yet to start......
Beliefs / Practices
Spiritual but not Religious, Pagan
Other Beliefs/Practices
With as much traveling as I have done, and even if I am not "full blooded Romani", I still consider myself in some way a Gypsy at heart.
Hobbies
Need I go on?? Do something out of the ordinary, scary and adrenaline pumping?!?!?
Heroes
Of course I can't leave out my family and friends either.
How did you find PaganSpace?
I found PAGAN SPACE when I was in search of other PAGAN SOCIAL NETWORKING sites (behind WITCHVOX of course) shortly after I started my journey way back when. I am happy I found this place.
