Marjoram and Rose Hips?

My friend recently gave us literal bags of herbs yesterday. Two of them being marjoram and rose hips (hence the titles). I'm looking for uses for marjoram and ways to properly harvest the rose hips (since he just gave us the part of the rose and had not separated the rose hips themselves.Any suggestions would be super appreciated! <3See More

Songs that give you goosebumps

I want to know what songs that when you listen to them, give you chills, goosebumps, brings you to tears. Not because they are sad, but because they express raw human emotion. It can be any genre of music, any emotion. For me at this moment, it is the song Let it Be, the version from Across the Universe with Carol Woods. Her voice is so emotional that when I first saw this movie, she made me cry. In the extras of the dvd, when she is auditioning for this roll, she herself starts sobbing at the…See More

You know, I never liked these 'about me' things too much. I feel like I am trying to apply to something, trying to gain acceptance or understanding. I don't think it's good to simply write about myself in hopes that someone will like me. If you happen to read something I post in a discussion, if you read my opinions and like them, I doubt my ramblings about my favorite color and perfect cup of tea are going to sway your opinion about me. If it does, well...to each their own. With honey, by the way.

If you didn't catch on, Talasi isn't my real name. Talasi is part of my magickal name, given to me three years ago while I meditated. I do not know who gave it to me, or why, but the full translation of my name is "Cornflower of the Waves". Because of its Native American translation, I can guess that it was one of my ancestors, and I hope to live up to the name someday.

Paganism has been part of me since the 7th grade when I failed at feeling any connection with the Christian God. I have more knowledge than I practice, due to constraints I'm not willing to discuss. I am not Wiccan, although that is how I started thanks to Scott Cunningham and Silver Ravenwolf. I don't know WHICH path I follow, save for my own. Norse Mythology is a passion of mine, so perhaps that is a path I will follow. I have a passion for herbalism and healing. My ability as an empath gives me more grief than good sometimes, but is an ability I hope to gain control of.

I am studying to be a Runecaster. Mine are petrified wood, and are new, so they are giving me trouble. But I love them and hope to become as knowledgeable as others. There are none that I know that study the runes, so solitary study is the way I walk. I am friends with tarot readers, scryers, palm readers and those who can read the stars. If you have any knowledge on any of these, but especially runes, leave me a comment or send me an e-mail. It's [email protected] if you are interested.

In normal day to day life, I am studying Sociology and aiming to join AmeriCorps VISTA once I graduate this upcoming May. I'd love to join the PeaceCorps but for the time being my parents have forbade me to leave the country. I love body piercings (two sets of lobe piercings, industrial, tragus, eyebrow, nape, and hopefully more to come!) and am planning on getting two tattoos when I graduate. (Berkano on my left wrist, and Dagaz on my right).

Dungeons and Dragons, along with other paper roleplaying games, are a great stress reliever. I wonder if blessing my dice with good luck is cheating...

I'm a huge nerd; give me video games to play or even just watch, and I am so there. Dungeons and Dragons rules my life in the best of ways, as does D20 Modern as well as Mutants and Masterminds. Because of this over active imagination, I am also a huge reader of books and a writer.

Music needs to be with me nearly 24/7. Silence is rarely in my life, and I like it that way.

Candles for sick niece

Posted on December 29, 2008 at 5:45pm 0 Comments

Tonight I am lighting a few candles for my niece, as she has been pretty sick these past few days. Just 5 months old and she is dehydrated with a fever. Her normal beautiful personality has shifted into constant exhaustion and tears. If anyone could send healing in her direction, I would appreciate it greatly. Her name is Averie.

Blessed Be!

It feels like I've been part of PS forever, although I know it hasn't even been a month. The time is going slowly here during my winter break, but I am enjoying the lack of long nights studying and 10 paged papers. Although I could do without waking up at 10:30 in the morning. I want to get up earlier but willpower is low when I am half conscious, and the cold is a good deterrent.

I'm working on transferring my BOS into runic so no one else can read it. That, and it will be a good… Continue
