Gearing up for 2009 DragonCon
No I am not getting into a costume or buying one! I bought a camera. Last year I used a disposable camera and did not like the size or limited supply of pictures. So much rain it makes my head hurt!
I am really amazed at how blessed we have been with dramatic rainfalls. Lightening and thunder, wind and hail, humidity and then dry, so diverse! The trees are green with leaves and hearty too. The animals seem real healthy and my cats have been lacking in ticks and fleas. I could get used to this man! Don has planted tomatoes in the greenhouse and herbs in the hydroponics. Rain finally arrived
We have gentle falling rain today and cool weather for a change. It is still humid but not so bad I want to stand in front of a fan. Cloudy dark day though and the birdies are loving the rain also. I am gearing up for a 3 day 29 hour stint of work. Gotta get clothes ready and mind in a Target Optical state once again. I think I just gave myself a headache. Musn't try so hard in my so literal way of looking at things! Eating the last piece of lemon meringue pie with earl grey tea and loving it.

Dragon and Mabon 2008 have come and gone
I really enjoyed my stay at the Georgian Terrace while at DragonCon! Had a blast and took it easy after my shoulder hurt immensely from carrying too much. I took a day off and stayed in my room drinking wine and writing and beading and taking ibuprofen. I ordered room service too and had a great breakfast. At the Con I got to see Mickey Dolenz and Yancy Butler from Witchblade. She was a hoot. I miss that show so much now that I see how it fits into the tough chic iconography.
