Don't really have favorite books -- more like favorite authors: Robert Heinlein, Scott Cunningham, Margot Adler, Charles DeLint, Starhawk, J.K. Rowling, Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Mercedes Lackey, Robert Asprin, Robert Jordan, and a ton of others I can't think of off the top of my head.

American politics are very boring to me. I can best be described as an Independent. I owe no allegiance to any political party, am not a part of any political party, and have no desire to be part of any political party. But I do vote...and tend to vote for the individual that makes the most sense to me. I don't get into the need to try and tell people why I vote for a candidate and why they should do the same. I figure persuading someone to vote for them is the candidate's job, not mine.

I guess I could count school as a hobby. Maybe even the podcast...

T-Day -- Well H-Day For Me...

Not a big Turkey fan, so I made Ham instead.

Another Day...Where's My Dollar?

Oh yeah..that's right...I'm part of the unemployed ranks currently. LOL

Anyways...a little overcast today, so the daily walk has evolved into a session on the stationary bike instead. Still, the dark cloud cover overhead certainly makes the outside world seem a little different. When I stepped outside to add more sunflower seeds to the feeding station for the squirrels -- it was quiet. At nearly 10 in the morning, it was as quiet as it is at 3 in the morning. Rainy Day Thoughts...

So, last night one of those big thunder-boomers rolled through. I actually like it when it rains. I would just prefer it not to be so loud in the middle of my sleep-time. LOL

So, this morning, I stared out into the backyard. No raking leaves today like I had planned. Not going to rake wet leaves. But I noticed that I have sunflowers starting to sprout (its bloody November!! Go back to sleep for the Winter!) where I normally put seed out for the squirrels and birds. What a Gorgeous Morning...

The sky is mostly blue. The temperature is hovering right around 50f. The sun peeked over the horizon, greeting this side of the earth's face with shades of light pink that slowly faded to light blue. Just before the sky started to change from dark to lighter colors, the birds started to sing their morning songs, while invading the sunflower seeds I left out by the circle in the backyard.
