Feeling "Initiation Frustration".

I have been told multiple times by High Priests within particular Old School traditions (one founded in the 1930s and another the year I was born--and both are equally respectable!). Words cannot express how honored I felt each time I was told that I "would make an Awesome [Trad. X or Z] High Priest," by a HP w/in that Tradition of several decades standing! The first problem is being unemployed and distance, since I cannot afford to travel to seek training considering that those Covens that I…See More

Favorite Magical Herbs?

Hey guys,I would like to ask you a quick question for an informal survey: What are the 10-12 herbs and spices that you find yourself turning to again and again for use in ritual and in magick?See More

About Me:
I have been involved in the Occult in one form or another since Jr. High School (whether it's been ancient religious studies, thanks to "Bullfinches' Mythology" or tarot readings).

However, I am in the process of founding my own Tradition of Witchcraft centered upon the Worship of my Lady; Her Mysteries; sacred rites; as well as my studies of ancient world religions; and other related Witchcraft incluences, such as: Gardnerianism, Alexandrianism, The Cabot Tradition of the Science of Witchcraft (which has had the most enduring influence upon my practice as a Witch since reading her brilliant book, "The Power Of The Witch: A Witch's Guide to her Craft", due to it's use of quantum mechanics, which I have since spent many years researching); The Golden Dawn, authentic shamanism, herbalism, witchcraft-history, renaissance paganism, and academia (particularly devoted to my research in the Indo-European and Celtic Studies discipline)!

I'm a Gay, male, Pagan-Witch of a decade standing that was called to serve the Irish Earth-Goddess, The Morrighan (a fact I later verified due to my interest in academic research!). I could never ask for a greater honour in this life! Of course, I also adore the Horned God, and would like to see more Pagans and Witches reclaim Him in popular worship and reverence; I adore Him by the many named through which He is known! Of course, He must also be tendered as phallic because so many Pagans (particularly women) seem to neuter Him!

I am also writing a number of pagan-themed articles; as well as a couple books with British HPs, Anna Franklin (albeit slowly, cause I'm a bit of a procrastinator!); not to mention a number of solo-projects as well (I have folders full of ideas)--I have also had a numberof articles published in the US and abroad.

However, more recently I discovered my Familiar, or Spirit Animal (not unlike the Aztec nagual): Snake! Familiars represent the animal-species as a whole, and Snake is apparently a very rare Familiar to have! One HPs I know, in over 30 years as a Witch, has only known one other person whose Familiar is Snake.

While, politically-speaking (because I am very active in politics and basic human rights) I am a dyed-in-the-wool Socialist (I reject the notion of class-distnction as detrimental to the well-being of the people, and believe that most Pagans *are* closet Socialists):

Remember, above all, that the Craft is a relatively erotic religion (if you don't like that, regardless of one's respective sexual orientation, T.S.!):

I continue to study medicinal herbalism, as an Herbalist, as well as the body, anatomy and how its organs and fluids function in conjunction with various medicinal herbs.

A 1st failing within Prof. Hutton's Polemic, "Pagan Britain"

Posted on September 17, 2017 at 12:28am 16 Comments

ARGHHHHH!!!! Again, in his reductionist and revisionist zeal–in his polemic Pagan Britain, which is just as bad as his formerly flawed polemic, The Pagan Religions of the Ancient British Isles–Prof. Hutton shows his fatally flawed weaknesses in trusting the disciplines of a…

Never Thought I would Be This Lonely at 39!

Posted on May 17, 2016 at 11:58pm 3 Comments

I'm 39 and I have never been in a relationship before, let alone on an actual date where a guy, you know, asked me out! The men in Iowa seem to treat dating and relationships like a joke!  Some in relationships treat their partner and relationship status with disrespect.  Indeed, the only Iowans I know who are in relationships are non-natives to our state. I have heard many former iowans state this several times. Moreover, I have been stood-up by every guy I have ever asked out on a date,…

Dandelion Cream!

Hey guys!  Check out the dandelion hand-moisturizer that I whipped up this afternoon!  I harvested two cups of large dandelion blossoms, as well as whatever violet blossoms that I happened to spy, and using a double-boiler I used a heat-infusion method to infuse the phytochemicals of the dried…

Pan as an Oracular God!

Posted on December 3, 2015 at 2:30pm 0 Comments

So, I just learned something new, yesterday whilst thumbing through Apollodorus's The Library of Greek Mythology (Oxford UP, 1997) for some quick facts for the book that I am writing! (I am genuinely surprised that I have never read this in any book of herb-lore or Greek mythology,…
