I have been a Witch for almost 20 years. I am Pagan but not Wiccan. I have never belonged to a coven and never will. I don't believe in hierarchy where spirituality is concerned. Where magick is concerned it is my belief that the fewer people involved the better it works. So personally I prefer working alone or with my hubby.
I've been practicing and studying for a long time As much as I've learned the most important thing I've figured out is that I will never "know it all". That's a good thing too because it gives me a good excuse to keep buying new books!
Too many to list. I've read just about every book there is on Witchcraft, Paganism and Wicca. Some I've loved, some I've hated, some were just alright. I've learned something from all of them.
I love books on history, religious history, science and physics, quantum physics, astronomy, evolution, the list goes on and on.
I'm not a huge fan of fiction but I do love the classics. Pride and Prejudice is my absolute favorite. I end up reading it about twice a year. I also like Wuthering Heights, anything by Oscar Wilde, Poe, Shakespeare, the Brownings, Robert Frost, to name a few. As for contemporary fiction, I am a huge Dan Brown fan eagerly awaiting his newest book "The Lost Symbol" which will be coming out on Sept. 15. I have pre-ordered it on Amazon so I will not have to wait for my copy!
Beliefs / Practices
Occultist, Spiritual but not Religious, Pagan, Witch, Shaman, Other Spirituality, Native American Spirituality, Heathen
I study mostly ancient religious beliefs. As for contemporary religions, the eastern religions intrigue me as will as shamanic beliefs and Native American Spiritualism. I like to wander down many paths to see what sort of knowledge I can pick up. If what I learn speaks to me and feels true to my heart, I hold on to it.
I have all sorts of hobbies. The biggest is reading. I am a total book-a-holic. Anything non-fiction, history, science, (see "Favorite Books" above) I love it.
I also am into (somewhat obsessed with) genealogy. We do a lot of gardening -- veggies and herbs.
My husband and I work together really well and we have built wooden end tables with tiled tops, they turned out very nice!
I like to do all sorts of crafts and artsy projects and occasionally I will do some needlework.
My husband. He is absolutely the strongest person I know. He has been through some really hard times and adversities and he never gives up. He keeps his faith, his smile, his love and his sense of humor. I really admire him for that.
My Grandma Fahy-Bennett. Lately every time I speak with my mother she tells me that I remind here more and more of HER mom all the time. My grandma was a pillar of strength and a wise, wise woman, there is no one in the world I would rather be like.
