Okay guys, have a question. I received three new books today. Bree got them from her mom, whom got them from a friend. I am unsure of their value in information. Are they good to read for the sake of…Continue
Earlier today, I watched a movie. In that movie, magic flew in all directions, it was bright, sparkly, instantaneous, and contained all of those things we secretly wish we could do. However, I…Continue
I have a mild curiosity, and thought i would bring it up in discussion rather than blog like I usually do. I am wondering at the apparent difference in action between groups in a chatroom and groups…Continue
Howdy folks. I'm not sure if this is considered misuse of a forum thread, and since I already have this as a blog post I almost hesitate to do it, but I've seen other people post these things here so…Continue
As many people know, I recently went to the Pacific Northwest Highland Games & Clan Gathering. I go every year with my brother, usually with a bigger crowd of family and friends. The Games are important to my brother and I, and I've been told they have a bigger impact in America than they do in Scotland. I've speculated on why this is elsewhere, but recently I've discovered an irritant. A lot of people have been going to the Games lately, voicing their opinions here and elswhere. That's…Continue
It has been a while since I've written a blog. I'm not entirely sure anyone will read this, but that hardly matters. If it were something I felt worthy of discussion, it'd be on the forums, ready for combustion. All the same, it's something that has been bothering me for a while, and has caused me to retreat more and more from PaganSpace.
I am a witch. This is fairly obvious to anyone that has known me for more than a day. I make no secret of the fact that I'm a hedge witch.…Continue
I've been struggling with a thought for a while.
When we define spirits here, we tend to be very mechanical about it. "Non-physical entity". We do this, I know, because what we practice as a community spans so many cultures and definitions. It's hard to narrow it down beyond that without discluding someone. We spin ourselves in circles through justification or paradigm shifting, trying to assimilate multiple views into our dialogue, so we don't lose each other when posting on…Continue
Sometimes it amazes me the kind of thoughts that arrive while I'm reading. I've been thinking about this for a few days, while I read over the Tiffany Achings novels by Terry Pratchett.
There's a bit of a trend I've been noticing. This hasn't simply been a function of looking outside at the regular circles and covens, or walking down the street of Issaquah, or glancing in peoples cars to see what's on their rear-view mirror. I've been seeing it here on PS too. It's what I…Continue
