About Me:
Corporate rebel, Seeker, Teacher, Mentor, Student and Protector. I have been handfasted to Rainbow; my mate, partner and best friend for over 20 years. We have 2 children; a son currently serving recovering from an injury while serving in Iraq and a lovely daughter who had our 1st grandchild on of all days...my birthday. I love to read, wander the outdoors, listen to music and to just have a good time. I have a very strong bond with animals (domesticated and otherwise). Although I do not hunt; I am an expert with both the longbow and with rifles. I also trained in Goju Ryu until i broke my back. I am not fond of conflict, however, I will not back away if pushed. I believe strongly in respecting others views. Regarding how others perceive me; DILLIGAF pretty much sums that up.

A wolf ponders 'mankind'

Posted on August 31, 2009 at 3:00am 3 Comments

The Wolf was wandering the forest one day when he suddenly heard voices in the distance.

He trotted towards the sound and then quietly nestled down in the tall grass to watch the humans that were apparently communicating among themselves.

"What a wonderous thing; they are able to 'speak' with one another"; he thought.

Interested in this new discovery (The Wolf had avoided humans since the day his sire had been killed by one long ago when he was but a cub). His… Continue

For Sara (daughter)

May this special day bring to you all that you wished for and more.

Thank you for the priviledge of being your Father.

You have brought me joy through the years and a few gray hairs when you suddenly changed from a long legged/long armed pre-teen to the ravishing beauty at age 15.

Thank you for being you and for putting up with my endless 'talks' which I am sure drove you to despair at times.

Thank you for your trust in me and unconditional… Continue

Star Play

Posted on August 23, 2009 at 11:12am 0 Comments

It is finally time and to the outdoors I go.

The stars shy at first began to make their nightly appearance.

I sit in silent anticipation; watching the pins of light grow brighter and brighter.

Suddenly; a streak of silver across the sky...

It has begun!

I breath the crisp night air in deeply; content and happy I lay back on the grass watching.

Another streak splits the sky and then shortly thereafter yet another.

They… Continue

Morning is upon me

I wake; thus another victory.

Feeling so tired and stretched thin. I look at Rainbow sleeping peacefully and smile.

I thank the Lady for another day and for Rainbow and the 'kids'. I wonder what my son is doing at the moment so far away in a place called Iraq. Thoughts turn to my daughter and grandson and how his first year is almost upon him. I ask for happiness and protection for them all this new day.

Thunder in the distance rumbles softly and sooty light… Continue
