About Me:
The short version: Neopagan Socialist Queer.

The long version: I like guys. *g* I have been a practicing Hearth Heathen and vitki since Disting, 1992 (Imbolg) and am a devotee of the Norse god of beauty, wisdom, and light, Balder. I am also a practitioner of seidh and run a rune readings website. Although I have mostly been a solitary practitioner throughout my pagan life, in 1996 I joined the Weavers circle in Kalamazoo, MI, and in 2006 I joined the Troth (www.thetroth.com) and the Brotherhood of the Phoenix. (www.brotherhoodofthephoenix.org).

I love history and mythology (esp. Nordic), sci-fi, fantasy (esp. gay-themed), and I'm a big Tolkien geek. I'm fond of theater, music, and many other things that I can't think of at the moment. I practice magic, teach college, and write gay erotica. My musical tastes are eclectic, and my politics are radically left-wing. What does that mean exactly? I took the politicalcompass.org test and am about 2 steps to the left of the Dalai Lama and Nelson Mandela.

Heroes
There are many people I love and admire, but none that I idolize. When you see someone as a hero, it is very easy to lose sight of them as a human being, and sooner or later (being human) they're going to let you down. Creating heroes also shifts the responsibility away from ourselves to someone else when it comes to changing things for the better. ("Let the heroes take care of it; what can I do?") Far better for us to emulate the traits of the many people we admire, and then go forth into the world on our own to bring about the transformation we believe in.

If you are interested, you are welcome to check out our new group - http://www.paganspace.net/group/TheTroth, This group is to be the "outpost" of the Official website of The Troth (www.thetroth.org). We in the Troth practice the Germanic/Norse religion of Heathenry, commonly referred to as Asatru.

Good Morning Wulfelm,

I trust that your Midsommar was filled with earthly delights and that you are now in the pink of good health.

My husband Mark and I had a wonder filled season; a delicious Midsommar feast with dear feres, long prayer walks along the Mississippi River, three evenings of great sex, a sweet visit to Lake Superior. It was a good holiday.

Yes, it seems that there are more Queer Witches that are recognizing their Heathen roots. I don’t know many queer folks in the Heathen communities. Do you go to any gatherings with a strong Queer Spirit presence? I have taught at Reclaiming Witch Camps for years and have noticed that more and more queers attending. I also attend the Midwest Men’s Festival in Kansas as often as I can. Mark and I are planning on going this year.

I have not run across Raven Kaldera. I am slowly looking at the materials that I am finding on line. Thanks for the tip.

I would like to invite you to join us this autumn. My home group, Earth Conclave (http://www.earthconclave.org/) is having a gathering in Wisconsin Halloween weekend focused on ritual. There are usually quite of few queer folks that come. Mark and I will certainly be there. We are two of the facilitators for the event. The following is the e-invite that we are sending out:

Samhain Earth Conclave
October 30 - November 2, 2008

It’s time to save the dates for the up coming Autumn Earth Conclave! We will be gathering again at Wyalusing State Park on October 30 - November 2 to explore ritual, particularly ritual related to Samhain, Halloween and the Day of the Dead. We will explore questions such as; What is ritual? and, How does ritual relate to daily practice? We will also have a chance, among other things, to build our own ancestral prayer bead set, receive a Halloween divination, to go on a Bear Mound Walking Ritual, journey to the Roadhouse of the Dead, and participate in feasts, one dedicated to our ancestors and one dedicated to the dragons. A registration form will be available in a few weeks on our website; http://www.earthconclave.org/

To begin preparing for Fall Conclave, you can learn about Dragon Dinners, Ancestral Prayer Beads and the Roadhouse of the Dead on Donald's website: http://web.mac.com/iowariver/Walking_in_Beauty/Welcome.html. You may want to start collecting beads and thinking about offerings.  We encourage you to bring magazines and catalogs so that we can gather images to create Love Gifts for our beloved dead.  We will send these gifts through the sacred fire directly to their doors.

The dates for next Spring’s Conclave are April 16 - 19, 2009. This gathering will focus on Clan: Kith and Kin. If you would like to be on this planning committee or have thoughts about a workshop please e-mail iowariver@mac.com asap.

May we all dare to dwell in beauty, balance and delight.

Good Afternoon Wulfelm,

You sound like someone whom I would deeply enjoy sitting down with over a good cup of tea for a long conversation. I also work with the runes and other gifts form our Nordic ancestors. I have been part of the Queer Spirit community sense the mid 1970's. I am so delighted that queer Pagans and Witches are actually talking to each other, f2f and on line.

Your website also piques my interest.

May we all dare to dwell in beauty, balance and delight.

My name is Karagan, and I'm one of the Administrators here on PaganSpace.net, so if you have any question, suggestion, or just to want to talk, don't hesitate in contact me or our Admin Bercilak.

Well, that's easy...just begin by adding friends...just explore peoples profiles and add them by clicking on the "add as friend" link, beneath their photo... isn't that easy? Hey, begin by adding me in...look at my profile first by clicking on my photo, and if I seems interesting enough to you just add me as your friend.
Or if you prefer, you can invite your own friends to join PaganSpace...

If you have any questions you can always look on the help section here.

Go on try it, don't be shy...talk and connect yourself...

(shouting to PaganSpace.net)
