ABOUT ME - DAFYDD'S PROFILE: David Dom was born in Antwerp, Belgium, on January 16, 1978, and is partially from Austrian descent through the bloodline of his father. He grew up as a Christian and lived in Antwerp for his entire youth. Around the age of 14, he began to reject the Christian dogmatic religion, and became atheist, believing that the Divine power was the "Inner Force" of each individual.
He was then active as leader of the youth department of a computer hobby organisation, and later around the Millenium as a disc jockey (DJ Phoenix).
David began his Druidic studies by the end of 2001, and was taught by Jean-Claude Pretre, a Bard from France, until by the end of 2003. With the support of his teacher, he founded the New Order of Druids, formerly known as "Gate to Avalon", in 2002, and opened it to members in January 2003. After the end of his Bardic training from Jean-Claude Pretre, David Dom became a student of the legends of King Arthur as well as Celtic legends from Wales. He undertook a journey to North Wales in August 2003 in search for the legendary Avalon, following the theory of the book "The Keys to Avalon" by Steve Blake and Scott Lloyd. He continued his research into the Avalonian matter, and in January 2006, he became the student of Torc, P.A.C. Bloos, prominent member of The Druid Network and several other notable pagan organisations.
In 2005, he also begun a general study of Celtic history, and begun writing on an extensive Celtic timeline. On May 1 2006, he released his first book, called "the Celtic Chronicles" and on September 8, 2006, he launched the book "Entering The Forest", the book version of the Bardic Youth Course of the Grove of Dana College of the New Order of Druids.
