- I can not say exactly what ONE practice I hold to- I am new and learning. There are things from each path that I believe in or practice. I suppose once I have explored further I will figure it all out. Right now I am just enjoying the journey. Below is a list of my beliefs and non beliefs as of current. They could change- who knows. I post them here more for me than anything, I am strange like that.
I don't believe that there is one holy creator of this earth.
I believe in the power of the Sun and the Moon
I believe that spells can work though I am still confused on this point
I don't believe I need to cast a circle or have special tools BUT I do believe in the power of these tools when used as an extension of yourself or deity
I believe in a Book of Shadows - but more as a personal experience journal- what worked - what did not and so on...
I believe that Mother Nature has provided us with everything that we will need survive in this world.
I believe in ghosts, spirits and all the like
I believe in reincarnation and life after death
I don't believe that there is a heaven or a hell
I do believe in Chakra and the like- and I really wish I could figure it out!!
I believe in the power of "prayer" in the means that when we pray to whom ever we pray to we are sending out good energy where it is most needed
I believe in holistic medicine
I believe in celebrating our Earth, Seasons and the like
I believe that we should all help one another
I do not believe that the world is going to end- only that it is going to evolve
I believe in the power of meditation although I am horrible at it!
I believe in animal and spirit guides
I believe alot in the "old Indian Ways" - still learning but so far I love it.
I believe in fellowship for just the sake of fellowship- not to gain money for a new carpet for the church...

Greetings, Love!A pleasure to make the acquaintance of someone else who survived being raised Baptist! I agree with another poster who observed that your current belief system sounds shamanic. I recommend a book called 'The Way of the Shaman' by Michael Harner to give you a background on the subject.
As far as being 'horrible' at meditation, well, that's just a matter of practice. If you like, look up my old blog 'Earth and Sky' for a good visualization/meditation that could help (it also includes a Celtic version of chakra opening via the three caludrons). Tape it and play it back so you can keep your eyes closed and just listen to it.
Anyway, I'm an old Druid, so my path is fundamentally focused on the Irish Celtic ways. You are moving along another path entirely, I feel, but some things will always be universal.
