About Me:

"As with any religion, there are two types found within Christianity. The first is the tribal member. He or she favors a literal, concrete reading of Christianity, asserting that God is a judge with a rule book. Those who don’t play for “our team” are damned to eternity, and it can be our job to help them along the way to that end.

The second person is concerned not with knowing the rules and dogma, but with knowing the Mystery itself, which is to say living from within the experience of that Mystery. This is the search for and experience of that connection to and affirmation of God’s Presence on an ongoing basis."

I am a mystic.

As a child, I was raised as a Catholic. Later in life I found Paganism. Through it, I found magic within me, and a whole new way of viewing life and spirituality.

Having grown up in the Catholic Church I still feel drawn to the familiarity of it and the comfort it brought to me as a child. And although I no longer consider myself to be Catholic, Liberal, Folk and Cultural Catholicism are very much, up my alley!

I am also greatly influenced, on a spiritual level, by Christian Mysticism, Sophian Gnosticism, and Esoteric Christianity.

I am a seeker.

I am drawn to Italian Witchcraft, and folk magic’s in general. I turn to the Saints in my magical workings. As for Raven Grimassi or Leland, I am not interested in learning their new religion. I find it exciting to find snippets of folk practices and beliefs and to possibly add them to my repertoire if I so choose. But I’m not looking for a religion to follow.

Practicality and Simplicity are important to me, in all areas of my life. I use Folk Magic’s but have no desire for anything deeply ritualistic.

There is also a special place in my heart for Hoodoo, which to me is practical and simple, straight forward and down to earth.

I am a witch.

My take on magic?

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

The Child is the culmination of the two together, both flesh and spirit.

To me: The ‘story’ of Christ is an analogy of flesh and spirit coming together, and the magic that follows.
