Samhain for me is a time of remembering, remembering the year past, the trials and hardships I may have experienced and knowing that with Samhain I can close those chapters, because along with the ending of a season a new one opens to me, the glint of a future promised in the seed and the bud.

IS IT IN THE BLOOD?
I wonder, when you dedicate yourself to the old ways, how much the path you take is choice or calling?
Do we make the choice or is it the call of blood and ancestors that directs us?

I have always, from as far back as I can recall, recognized light and dark, and how we cannot have one without the other, they are siblings that cannot be separated.
I have also always recognized and accept that these aspects exist in all of us, some of us just accept it more readily than others.
