I heard you and Taylor were well met at Heartland, and I'm sorry that I missed you there. A friend of mine got your book on Otherkin, and I'm rather impressed with it. It is a bit of a tricky subject to tackle seriously, and your treatment of the topic is quite possibly the best that I've ever seen. At any rate, I'm glad to see that you are keeping with your tradition of success through excellence.

About Me:
Hmmm....let's see. 29 as of right now, biologically female but androgyne-identified. Recently moved to Portland OR, with my mate Taylor. I'm enjoying living a walk away from Laurelhurst Park, Music Millenium, and lots of really awesome people. I also love that 20 minutes out the door (driving) we're in the middle of the mountains and the Columbia River Gorge. Hooray for urban growth boundaries!

I'm a voracious reader and you can see reviews of pagan-ish books at my book review blog I'm an artist, and I make jewelry, ritual tools and so forth out of fur, leather, feathers, beads and other such things. You can see my work here.

I'm also a pagan/occult author, as is my mate. I've published a number of articles, and my first book, "Fang and Fur, Blood and Bone: A Primal Guide to Animal magic" was published last May by Immanion Press/Megalithica Books. My next work, "A Field Guide to Otherkin" came out this past April, and my husband Taylor Ellwood and I are co-writing "Kink Magic: Sex Magic Beyond Vanilla" which is scheduled for publication in November 2007. You can find out more book stuff here.

I identify as Otherkin, a wolf therianthrope to be exact. This means that on some level--psychological? spiritual? metaphorical/mythological?--I identify more as wolf than human. I'm perfectly functional in society, thanks--this isn't clinical lycanthropy. While "Otherkin" isn't a religion, therianthropy does tie in with my personal spirituality in some ways.

Spiritually, I consider myself a therioshaman. This is a path that I am in the process of creating from my experiences over the past decade and change. It is a neoshamanic, rather than traditional shamanic, path, and focuses particularly on totems and other animals spirits. You can find out more at Therioshamanism.
