Thank you for the add. I am very new to this network. I took interest in the comments about glossolalia because it has been a significant part of my life story. I've witnessed this experience almost every week during my childhood (I was born in an obscure spiritual order) but I did not know what to call it. In fact, as a child, it was quite comical to see the adults flailing away and speaking "gibberish" while other adults made a circle around the person who was "in the spirit". In fact, in my order there was one individual who would transcribe the "speaking in tongues". This person was never subject to scientific authentication but people believed.
As a child, all I knew was that my hair would stand on end when it happened in the "temple" and there was electricity in the air!
It was no longer comical when I had my own experience and I experienced it again and again and again. This experience was/is so authentic, it's become the one thing that has validated my belief in the existence of a mystical force in nature. This "thing" has outlived my membership in the spiritual order that I was born into.
