About Me:

college split between Mechanical Engineering (Rolla) and Industrial Design KCArt Instititue. Married 37 years to my 3rd wife. Seven grandchildren. Self employed since 1972. Owned 11 businesses in that time. Move 27 times through 9 states. Historical Restoration, a 24 page tabloid newspaper, an antique store, a graphic production company, a screen printing business, a painting contracting company, a remodeling company... etc.

My writing:
I bought an ailing small town newspaper, wrote 3K to 5K words into every issue. and I sold the paper for profit almost 15 years ago. I've sold freelance articles through the Nature Conservancy, the US Forest Service, and through two Kansas City area papers. Between Multiply, Writer's Cafe, and The Black Seal, I easily have 150 poems and stories posted. I have at least 100 more that no one has ever seen. I have two books... a sci fi I call "Schechinah," and a near future fiction I call "2040"... with many chapters written. I also co-authored a book on teaching appreciation of great works of art with my ex-wife many years ago.

Favorite Books

I've read at least a book a week for 50 years... mostly sci fi, history, with wanderings into horror, theology, meditation practices, classic Greek, mythology, alternate history

I perform in live theatre. I sing bass in a 70 voice college chorale. I have a large scale railroad in my back yard... open to the public once a year.

We both have several piercings, he more than I, but I don't really wear mine any more. Just my nose. I had a job where I could only have one facial piercing, and my nose was still new enough that it would close up, so I chose that one. When I have my restaurant, then I can have my appearance the way I want it. Until then, I try to keep a somewhat "normal" look, just in case.

At 8:36pm on November 12, 2008, Gwendolynn said…: You can try it and see....usually when you load a photo you can use the little picture icon but you can also copy and past...I believe the photo shows up as a bunch of data, letters and such, but once you save it or add the comment the picture should be there...try it and see.. what the heck...you can always go back and remove it. I like your writing...
