Now if and when I catch myself whining, I say out loud "I'm not whining to anyone in particular, I'm just doing it to myself" and then I glance around and get the feeling the universe is going "yeah right!:)". I just saw your answer in the worship discussion where you said you asked for something and your goddess said to do it yourself. This was like a lightening bolt for me because I experienced the same thing a few months ago.
I found myself asking often for certain things and had a dream where some people were going to show me where to get what I wanted easily and then this woman spoke up * she appeared as a kind older teacher type person* who, with authority, told me ".....you DO know you can do this yourself, right?". I felt embarrassed and laughed and said yes, I guess I can.
I am very careful now when and if I ask for anything. Mostly just sticking to giving thanks or praying for others.
Just wanted to share this with you, hope you don't mind:)
