I was browsing some topics under a facebook pagan group and a question was posed about what it is we like or don't like about being human. As long as I could remember I have had a love-hate relationship with the idea of humanity. I'm very much into the subject of reincarnation and am a firm believer that humans have never truly been alone here on Earth. And I've never really thought of myself as a human. I had been away from here for over a year and then one day decided to return. I'm trying to become more active on this site seeing as it is such a great way of connecting with others in the pagan community at large. Also I noticed a lot more good groups. Hopefully will find some good discourse on a number of subjects through them. I should have ample time while on bed rest. See More

My husband and I are avid plant lovers and gardeners. We go to different nurseries, sometimes local and sometimes across a few states (to Seedsavers, for instance in Decorah, IA), to find what we're looking for. Its taken several years but we've managed to transform our small backyard into a semi-paradise rife with lush greenery. Craving some vitamin D, yesterday I went outside to prune the bushes. Afterwards, took some of the evergreen clippings, and weaved flowers and mint into them, to create a garland and a wreath. Then sat on the porch for a while, listening to the squirrels and the traffic. Off to the right the sun was beaming with the loveliest hues as it descended for the night. Its been several months since I had anything noteworthy to post here. Even if I had many things that were noteworthy, the winter seems to have forced me into a state of internal withdrawal. Perhaps on some level we as people also hibernate on occasion - sinking down into the depths of ourselves, far from the noise of civilization and society for some down time.
