In my dream I watched as they took a pagan up to their altar and told them to renounce satan and witchcraft. When they turned to me I told them I wouldn't do it and I left.
It was weird but it just showed me, yet again, that what I believe is not what they profess it to be and I will not allow their hatred, ignorance and lies to affect me ever again.
I am not afraid of who I am. But I am afraid of their religion. I hate it. And I am so glad to have been freed from the lies I once believed in.

When we know that we are gong to go through this, we are more likely to treat others well. I would hate to be a Nazi or a serial killer and have to go through that kind of life review and have to experience the horror and pain that each of our victims felt, until we have gone through them all. That would truly be hell.

I consider teaching children about an eternal hell, like is taught in many churches, to be a crime against their innocence. It teaches them fear instead of love. And the fundie preachers go on about the anger and hatred of God for anyone who doesn't believe in their drivel, and by so doing make their parishoners so fearful that they lose their love of God. You can't love what you fear. I wouldn't want to be in the shoes of those preachers when it's their time to pass on and they have to experience the terrible fear that each of their parishoners felt when they heard those preachers teach about hell and the anger of God. It's no wonder why there is so much mental illness among fundie Christians. I gained back my sanity when I discovered the Goddess and came home to Paganism.
