A curious experience...

my daughter had while traveling abroad with her school choir:

Given some free time to explore the nearby mountain trails, she soon got ahead of her companions. She saw an especially pretty, sleek gray cat walk out of the brush. It stood and looked at her a minute, then wandered off. When she looked to see where it had come from she noticed a vague trail, the sort made by animals rather than people. She followed it downhill and it ended at an open place that had a beautiful…

blackcurrants - nutritional facts

Posted on July 15, 2010 at 5:44pm 2 Comments

Black currants are very rich in many phytonutrients, antioxidants, vitamins, essential fatty acids and minerals

In particular, black currants are renowned for their high content in Vitamin C (a powerful antioxidant), GLA (Gamma-Linoleic Acid, a very rare Omega-6 essential fatty acid) and potassium. They have been shown to have twice the potassium of bananas, four times the vitamin C of oranges, and twice the antioxidants of blueberries.…

Monday blessings to you.  I would like to extend a special invitation to you to join me on a journey of a lifetime.  A journey toward a new era of consciousness as we approach the dawning of 2012.

You truly are a woman after my own heart. I did the same thing and don't know which one of my peppers and tomatoes are which but I always know that they will reveal themselves by their fruit. I have a good friend and fellow gardener who just really freaks out about not being able to accurately label a plant. lol'
I may not have any cherry bombs this year. Maybe you'll send me back a few seed?
We're heavy on heat and short on water here so I'm having to do a lot for my garden this year but it's just so worth it when I pop one of those little tomatoes into my mouth while I'm out there working.

I've been working on my pond area and setting up outdoor lights for cooking out but it's just been too hot to do much with the heat index at over 100.

This buckeye tree grows at my front door steps. The Cherokee carried them as talismans. If you like, I'll send you one or two. My tree is still small but it's bearing very well.

Hi Joan. That's a wonderful painting. Do you know the artist? I enjoyed the way the darkness blended barely visible figures with subliminal ones. Very nice.
How's your garden growing? Did the cherry bombs take off and grow?

What's new with me? Just the heavy wet heat! i am online less and less. My computer area is not airconditioned, so I can only grab a few hours very early or late at night. Had computer problems, so had to stay on well past the comfot zone for this room. Sigh! Come autumn I'll be around much much more. Blessed be.
