Walking the Red Road May 7

When we use water in the sweat lodge we should think of Wakan-Tanka who is always flowing, giving

His power and life to everything: we should even be as water which is lower than all things, yet

stronger than the rocks.

SPELLS TO RID OF TYPES OF NEGAVITY

To rid yourself of problems or a troublesome situation.

Take cotton yarn in the appropriate color of the problem (green for money, red for love, etc) and pour out your fears and problems in to the yarn. Tie it up in knots to symbolize how "tied-up" you feel. Take it outside and let the wind blow it away along with your negativity. Go back inside and take a ritual bath or shower cleansing.

Best done during the full moon

The American Indian is of the soil, whether it be the region of forests, plains,

pueblos, or

mesas. He fits into the landscape, for the hand that fashioned the continent

also fashioned the

man for his surroundings. He once grew as naturally as the wild sunflowers. He

belongs just as the

buffalo belonged.

Creating A Kitchen Altar

A kitchen altar makes a vital, visual connection between you and your cooking activities and the Goddess. If the oven and stove, as modern equivalents of the hearth-fire, are the heart of the house, this altar will be the soul. Every time you see it, you will be reminded that what you do as a kitchen witch is vitally important. It will remind you that your kitchen is a sacred place. It will help you to remember that your ability to nourish… Continue

SUMMONING THE ELEMENTS:

The four Elements are called to bear witness to the rite taking place

and to guard the circle.

Their calling can be as simple or complex

as one wishes.

Again words are unimportant, you have to speak to

the elements with love, warmth and respect in your heart.

NORTH ~ Element of Earth and Winter ~ stones, rocks, trees,

gnomes, dryads, all creatures that live beneath the earth.

EAST ~ Element of Air and Spring ~ the… Continue

The Legend of the Cherokee Rose.

No better symbol exists of the pain and suffering of the Trail Where They Cried than the Cherokee Rose(pictured at top of page). From that day forward, a beautiful new flower, a rose, grew wherever a mother's tear fell to the ground. The rose is white, for the mother's tears. It has a gold… Continue
