I believe in the good in people. I try to treat others with kindness, but I do falter on occasion. The golden rules are a staple in my life. I am very forgiving, but I am not a pushover. I value what I have and work towards making my life better. I also believe that there is no one correct path for everyone. We have to follow the path made for us.

- I believe that there is no exact rule to being what I am. I practiced with my grandmother during my youth and (shamefully) hid in the "broom closet" because of teenage embarrassment. For a few years, my life became chaotic and negative and when I reacquainted myself with my youthful teachings, I began to feel whole again. I was also raised as a Catholic. Grams lovingly called us Wiccolics. It was normal for us to attend afternoon mass on Saturday and do an oracle reading for the priest after dinner. I was lucky to have an open minded priest. Grams made it a point to tell people of Christian denomination, that found our ways evil, that most of what they believed and practiced derived from us. We were the beginning and we shall be here in the end. I love that we are finally being accepted in society. We are not evil. We are loving. I do what feels right at that moment. I do not allow others to influence how I practice. It has to come from within. There are too many people that "want" to practice due to movies or cliques. That's not to say there isn't a true want. However, like any belief, it can't be a fad. You have to believe in it and trust it to guide you. Herbs, crystals and candles are to be used wisely and without harmful intent. Many do not understand that....why risk it?
I was taught (and I believe) that we plan our lives with our spirit guides before we are even conceived. We are given exit plans in case we stray from our paths. Our guides are there to help us stay on the path we choose. Some of us embark on tougher paths than others. We choose our path in order to "strengthen" our spirit for the next life we choose. I was taught that death is not an ending, but a beginning. Of course, we are reunited with loved ones, we are given the opportunity to look into the "mirror' and reflect on the life we just led. We also get access to the Akashic Records, We can choose to let our spirits remain on the other side or we can embody another "host body" and travel another path. I believe that every spirit you encounter in this life has been, and will be, in other lives. I also believe that our fears and habits are derived from previous past life experiences (it's the only thing that helps explain why I'm deathly afraid of butterflies... *sigh*). I believe in believing something even if no one else does. I think it's important for others to realize that I practice when it feels right, not because of a calendar date. I make exceptions for the Solstices and Harvests, but if I'm not "feeling" it I think I'm letting my guides down. They aren't here for my entertainment and I'm not here for them to babysit.
