About Me:

20 year old, Solitary Eclectic Pagan (Neo-Pagan, which ever you prefer). Currently unemployed, suffering from issues in my legs, and homeless - But trying to sort that all out, currently kipping at a mates. Mmmm really not that much to say really... other than I love art and writing and have overdosed recently on way too much of Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes... starting to write fan fiction, can't keep it in *twitch*. Frequently forgetful of the Sabbats and can never remember to celebrate an Esbat... never have that I recall.

Favorite Books

Stranger in a Strange Land by RAH, Number of the Beast (Same author), Moon is a harsh Mistress (Same author), Time enough for Love (starting to get the Heinlein theme?), Study in Scarlet, The Sign of the Four, and various short stories of Conan Doyle. Uh... I also love the Oxford Dictionary and Encyclopedia Britannica... have been known to stop to read fire extinguisher instructions... um... shall we just put down all print to save space?

Other Beliefs/Practices

Solitary (except occasionally with mother or anyone else that wants a really laid back ritual), Eclectic (I choose my own rules, I can't stick to the strictness of others and nothing else fits my size so I make my own). I am influenced a great deal by the (possibly accidental) message in SIASL, and by some of the concepts in Wicca (although I'm not devout, strict or traditionalist in this sense). I'm a pick 'n' mix.

Hobbies

Writing, Art, Reading, Walking (when legs allow), Nature, and devising new and interesting ideas on how to start my own country/micro-nation... so long as I've learned all the rules of the other countries in this area... the big kids don't like you playing in the sandbox unless you know the rules of the playground.

Heroes

Robert A. Heinlein, Sherlock Holmes (although in part Dr. J. H. Watson for getting him OFF the drugs... not big fan of that.... although I guess uhm... Dr. J. Bell would be who I really admire there), my mother, Jubal Harshaw, and Doctor Who (preferably either Patrick Troughton, Tom Baker or Paul McGann - my prefer the classic series). Yep... I have fictional characters for heroes... so few around where I grew up.

Likes

Sweets, solitude, reading, peace (whole, encompassing, not just the absence of war type), languages, people that keep their imagination well into adulthood.

Dislikes

Children that just won't stop screaming... like my roommates kids.

Distraught Witch seeks missing athame...

I don't like to cry... I really don't... I don't like the feeling of weakness of it. I'm not opposed to others seeing me cry when I can't help it. But I really don't like doing it.

The serious problem with nothing but time...

The serious problem with having nothing but time. Is filling it up.

I got signed off work so I can't work for 2 months min. I shouldn't even be looking for 2 months (still look... just not allowed to apply). So there is nothing I can do but try and find the numbers to call to apply for the government's version of 'satutory sick' - basically going on the 'short-term sick' because I'm not long-term disabled. I'm not to sure about anyone else on here, but have you ever had a really rotten day? One that's stacked upon tens of the rotten months before? It could be for a particular reason (debt, decreasing mobility and homelessness for me), or could just be that you just haven't been having a good time.

So I ended up purchasing some supplies and I have decided I will frequent that shop more often when I am in the area. Sorry for rambeling on I was just so thrilled to see such a sight I thought I would share.
