There is an Indian legend which says:
"When a human dies there is a bridge they must cross to enter into heaven. At the head of that bridge waits every animal that human encountered during their lifetime.
The animals, based upon what they know of this person, decide which humans may cross the bridge...and which are turned away."

"And now a word, in uncouth rhyme
Of what whall be in future time
Then upside down the world shall be
And gold found at the root of tree
All England's sons that plough the land
Shall oft be seen with Book in hand
The poor shall now great wisdom know
Great houses stand in farflung vale
All covered o'er with snow and hail
A carriage without horse will go
Disaster fill the world with woe.
In London, Primrose Hill shall be
In centre hold a…

So, this guy has been feeling pretty bad lately and finally decides to go to the doc.
The doc runs a bunch of tests and then comes in to talk with guy, a grim look on his face.
The guy says, "Give it to me straight doc! What wrong with me.?!
Doc says, "I'm sorry Mr. Smith but you best get your affairs in order, you are, indeed, dying!"
Guy: "WHAT?!?!?! How long do I have???
Doc: "10....."
Guy: 10 What? 10 years, 10 weeks, 10… Continue

'Twixt Tweedle-dum and Tweedle-dee! ~~~John Byrom (1692–1763)
Many opinions exist on the the role that Venus, Amore and a host of others play in our lives. While my own philosophy aligns with a close parellel to "If you meet the Buddha on the Road, Kill Him". I have always felt that there are…

~ Cleansing in the Shower ~
When we awaken for the day, our energies are ethereal and our minds saturated with the energy of the dreaming. Begin your day by hopping into the shower or bath, yet don’t let it be a physical or bodily cleansing alone. We are blessed to have access to clean and purifying water and should pay attention to this, honor this, and utilize it for the most spiritual purposes possible. As the bathwater is draining, or as the water from the showerhead cleanses you…

I had a doctor's appointment this week and she made an appointment for me to have another ultra sound on Friday. The doctor's appointment went good. She gave me a prescription to take when I get my teeth pulled the 13th, and we go back in 3 weeks for my next appointment. We went in for my ultra sound Friday morning so they could take measurements of the baby. They were pretty sure the first time that we were…

I recently started
this thread for advice about a situation that's been presented to me during a very stagnant time in my life (at least on the religious front). I want to thank everyone for their advice, opinions, and help. You're all amazing.
I've started a Blogger account, since I know that PaganSpace will distract me if I try to blog here. LOL Discussions are too tempting, and I don't want to waste…

I have heart shaped cake pans, which for me means that just about anything I make in them is automatically connected in some way, shape or form, with Freyja as I connect the heart very much with Her. So today I am making brownies, and the first one will be offered up to Her, once that is done everyone else will get their share... I know that this probably sounds a little bit 'out there' to the average person, but it's the way I like to live my life and I think that it pleases the Gods when we…

CANDLEMAS
The Light Returns
by Mike Nichols
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It seems quite impossible that the holiday of Candlemas should be considered the beginning of spring. Here in the Heartland, February 2 may see a blanket of snow mantling the Mother. Or, if the snows have gone, you may be sure the days are filled with drizzle, slush, and…

The crossroads into the unknown
At the edge of the cliff
What can be seen?
The long winding road of yesterday
Littered with shattered dreams of the past
Emptiness and longing of the present
A threshold to the possibilities of tomorrow

Eternal damnation
Infernal desire
Wisps of smoke
Rise from the pyre
In each plume
A hope or dream
A testament
To the unseen
Archaic thoughts
A shield of stone
An abyss of old
Of flesh and bone
Friend or foe
Dancing ghosts
Guarding sentinels
Or welcoming hosts
Rattling chains
Secure and strong
Kept them at bay
Imprisoned for so long
Flickering… Continue
