In honor of April Fools Day, our theme this week is: The Trickster and Fool. We'll take a look at the history of April Fools Day, as well as the Role that the Fool and the Trickster play in Earth-Based religious practices.
Also, a quick look at some of the best known hoaxes in the history of the Western World (well, sort of, anyway)
And we'll hear some foolishness from today's Modern Trickster, Russell Brand. The English actor and commedian has, in my opinion, grown as a…

Monday making today graduated colored sands. I use anise scented bird sand from the petshop. Several glass jars, food coloring and one wooden skewer per jar. On the food coloring box it mentions ways to make hues of colors. I made coral red, violet, lime green and seagreen. First I mix one layer of sand very dark in the jar.
On top of that I add a little plain sand and mix blending upwards to lighten the color. I do this a third time and get a still lighter hue. And I have a jar with…Continue

There is a big machine or supercomputer in space called Saturn. "As above, so below" This machine has us locked in a cube and feeds off our frustration and anger and suffering. So we are in this cube or computer program called "Time". I'm glad I decided the pagan path was for me because I've figured out that pagans were the original hackers of the machine. Being merry in the forest gives Saturn no pleasure. Being HAPPY and Peaceful is the way to overcome Saturn (Satan, the Beast). Trying new…Continue

Ah the wonders of interacting with others. On the the one hand the experience can be an amazing thing. The other you have to admit to wondering just why we aren't solitary critters. Every so often at least. By now though you all know I'm proned to rambling. I put this on the table today however for purely self centered reasons. You see the last couple days at work have been 'interesting '. We'll use that word at least. Three of the six guys on that side of the business decided they just…Continue
8 years have gone by and I am still amazed at how sad it makes me that you're no longer here.
8 years of torturing myself over guilt of the last years I was being selfish instead of cherishing your presence.
8 years of crying and missing you that I will never get back.
It's been a while since I felt you were ever near me, with me.…Continue

In my line of work things slow down considerably come the end of December. Its no secret. In fact most everyone is told well in advance giving more then enough time for a person to prepare. I compare it to a squirrel putting away food for the frozen grey days of winter. Simply put you just need to hold a little aside then. Sounds very simple. I'm well aware however that the actual application isn't always so easy. Especially not for those with exprnsive vices. Why is he rambling about this…Continue

This week here on The Spiral Dance, we're Thinking About Deism.
Deism as an encompassing thought and philosophy had a major influence over those we in American call our Founding Fathers. Thus the shape of our Constitution is very much a product of Deism.
But what's the connection between Deism and Paganism? Well, in the Eighteenth Century many Deists spoke of a Creator God, or The God of Nature. They connected to the Divine through Rational Thought Processes, and by…
