AlanHeartsong For fun - my version of PaganSpace FAQs

Welcome to PaganSpace! In the past, people have joined this community and asked the same questions over and over, so I thought I’d just put up a brief summary of the answers to some of those Frequently Asked Questions. 1. “What is a Pagan” – good question, ask 10 people and you’ll get 20 different answers. More importantly, what does it mean to you? 2. “Why are there Christians here?” – because we welcome anyone here with a friendly voice, some of our Christian friends are here to learn more… Continue

I've Got Your Fluffy Bunny Making Fun Of Mental Illness

I have to say I'm very disappointed. Since when did it become ok to make fun of someone who is obviously having issues? I wonder if you all realize that maybe you could push this person to the edge and cause them to harm themselves. Since when did you all lose your humanity? It's very sad and I'm very disappointed. Desert Rain Shinto Kami in Wicca

As most people who know me know, my main pagan background is in Buddhism. Buddism is one of two main religions in Japan. The other is Shinto. I have not filled out my pantheon yet, as I'm still researching what fits me. But something recently popped into my mind. Why are there no major oriental tradition wiccans? It does make little sense for a few very good reasons, the greatest of which is compatibility. Shinto has "kami", which are godesses, gods, elements, spirits, and ancestors. It is, i… Continue

Maire Hel Wolf "Let us talk about issues that are a bit controversial"

Not a problem with me. And at some point, you become aware that struggle is just a tool, controverse is a mere grindstone for the Ego and it is all about the pecking order. I don't go controverse for the sake of controversy - that is absurd. Move on. Some people are here because they have no one to talk to about anything existential. I myself am very open to the written word because I lack RL company when it comes to certain topics as well, which means I am definitely sensitive...I have to othe… Continue

13 day of Tybi 5109 ( 28th November 2009) Feast of Het-Hert (Hathor) and Sekhmet; Day of prolonging life and the goodness of Ma'at It was a great day as the followers of these three great Goddesses of the kemetic faith marked their feast day here at the mother temple. DeliatheCrone Aradia, Gospel of the Witches, Retold

I've finally sent the manuscript off to the publisher. And I've ordered a proof copy. Now I have to wait for it to arrive, so I can be certain everything is lined up the way I intended it to be, and double-check it for errata. Then I can approve the copy and it will become universally available. I've been working on this one project more or less constantly (with time off to complete other projects that nagged to be done first) for about 7 years. So it's really liberating to have it out of my han… Continue

Bert The Oaks and the Pines

The Oaks and the Pines, and their brethren of the wood, have seen so many suns rise and set, so many seasons come and go, and so many generations pass into silence, that we may well wonder what "the story of the trees" would be to us if they had tongues to tell it, or we ears fine enough to understand. ~Author Unknown~
