Spellcraft and how it works...

I read a discussion post just now asking why people do not use spellwork more often to make changes in their lives...so heres what I have to say about it: Spellcraft is a way of promising to yourself or to diety that you will be making change. I suppose it's easy to see Spellcraft as a literally 'magical' tool, where things just happen and you don't have to work, but that's not how spells work at all. They are a representation of commitment and reassurance that you will be making changes throug… Continue

Treasure Coast Pagans, and FPG

I attended this Samhain alone, as my usual company has been affected rather harshly by the current economic crisis, and could not make it. I attended to represent my coven, and do a little soul searching of my own. Fortunately, a wonderful group of people accepted me into their group, and treated me as one of their own. I even got to meet their children!:) The experience this Samhain was absolutely wonderful. I was able to strengthen myself spiritually, personally, as well as do some networking… Continue

Florida Pagan Gathering

I have been talking about this a lot on PS, and am becoming ever more excited each day, because I am one day closer! This gathering is absolutely one of the most wonderful experiences that I have ever had, and only wish I could share it with more. Currently, I am on the prowl for a good Djembe drum for less than $90 (used, of course). 24X14 is what I'm looking for because I'm a small person, and with short arms, even a short higheted drum is hard to play, so I usually sit on it and lean over th… Continue

A New Venture

Today I have the opportunity to leave my intership 4 hours early for a doctors appointment. I will be going to have my regular Diabetes checkup, which I am looking forward to. I've been working really hard lately and want to see the results.;D Anyway, forgive my health speech. After taking care of that, I plan on going to a local herbal/gardening shop to see if there are some herbs that I can use in ritual, that I can hopefully grow in my own garden, rather than spending a small fortune on bags… Continue

Alas

I have not been here in some time now, but that does not mean that I have not been busy. I am currently interning for my Social Work degree, and have been bombarded with so many conflicting energies when I enter into a situation with a client whom is coming to me for help in some area of their life. It's hard feeling all of the negativity within some of my clients, but at the same time wonderful to see the warmth that some of them experience just because I chose to spend an hour of my day listen… Continue

Recent Ventures

I have finally managed to find a good candle supplier that has an interesting array of good candles, and of every color, including my coveted color Black. Black is a powerful color that can be used for protection, banishment, and to bring about good or evil. The Goddess reveres the richest colors such as Purple, Green, and Black. I also acquired some good things to read about candles that are just the sort of thing that make a spell or ritual more simplistic, but also more powerful. Candles are… Continue

Challenges

I am currently helping a freind achieve a legal triumph over someone filled with negativity, and am constantly grounding myself. However, she is strong, and I am confident that she will prevail. Hopefully I will be able to swing by Oak Trail books soon and update my library, as it is becoming, shall we say, *used*. I'm hoping to find a good book about the Native American cultures. Most of what I have seen thus far are books about Aminal Speak, Familiars, and their influence on Native Americans,… Continue

The Beauty of a Community

I am currently working on earning my Bachelor's degree in Social Work, which should let others know that I value community and the feelings, wants, and needs of others.

I have also participated in other covens, groups, forums and online communities that weren't quite up to the respectable "Pagan" standard. I joined this site two days ago, and am pleased to see that there is a large number of more seasoned practitioners, and members who have earned a few more years in life. While the yo

Happy to be here

I'm very happy to see that there is a place where I can be part of a Pagan community thats a little more involved than just a forum. I have a lot pf experience with Paganism, and am excited to meet some new people on here, hopefully some I'll eventually become freinds with.

In May, I will be attending the Florida Pagan Gathering in Ocala, FL (with or without some freinds) for the Beltaine celebration. Well, I'm off to explore the site for now. Have class tomorrow but also managed to ge
