Well, my hubby recieved a invitation in the mail last week from the US Navy to be invited to a commisioning ceremony to the prototype boat they built for the Navy. I think that is just the biggest honor!!! We have watched many ships be launched into the water, but never had anything like this before. I guess it shows you that sometimes people do see that when you work hard and have pride in your efforts at work, it can pay off. I am so proud of my hubby.
He has to wear a suit too since he is a civilian. I haven't seen him in a suit in the 14 years we have been together LOL. It will be nice *wink*
I guess there has been alot of talk about it at his work. The guys have been saying that some of the rumors going around is that since it is a prototype ship they are commisioning, that the president might be there and the newly elected president might be there. All the big wigs from the Navy are going to be there. How cool is that?? Some of the scuttlebutt is that there might even be celebrities there as well. Talk about once in a lifetime, huh?
