All Beliefs are Welcome Here!

A couple of years ago, I was a member of a Gardenarian coven. It started out strong, but slowly dwindled away... Not to speak badly of the HPS, but her interest's lied elsewhere, not with her home, and the coven which she created.
I have a question though... when a coven ends, is there to be some kind of ceremony releasing everyone from the ties of the coven? Are the rituals still secret, never to be spoken or written about? Are we still oath bound? I feel that there was NO CLOSURE at all in this matter, and I'm wondering if there is such a thing as closure, when it comes to covens; even the inactive ones.

I would appreciate any thoughts on this matter.

simple answer .. yes.

When a coven is no more it is much like the disolving of other bonds. You gave oaths, made promises. You have to first look at yourself and make sure that you have upheld your end of those promises (as I know you have) and then when the time is right severe those ties of energy that still hold you to that past. Much like a handparting. You are letting go at the right time.

As for secrecy of rituals.. that depends. Yes they are for that coven and that coven only, but that coven is gone. You can take the knowledge and practices that you learned, and use them in the future. Knowledge is for those that possess and seek it. You have sought it, you have found it, it is yours to do with as you will.

We can talk at any time my friend. If you ever have need of us just call.

It truly depends on the circumstances and the coven, when we left New York, we had our final ceremony at Samhain where we turned over our coven to the coveners to do with as they felt best, we still stay in touch with the members several have chosen to go off on their own, which is fine we enjoyed theirr contributions and still remain friends. Also i have seen covens implode and the members left in shock and shattered, . The best I can say is take what you have gained, look at it as part of your learning experience, no HPor HP/s is beyond being human, some have better skills then others, but we are all human and all that that implies.
