It was a most beautiful day and night to harvest some of my herbs from my garden.

A total of 10 Herbs were harvested. Thinned out, groomed and shaped to allow more light to the plants so that they can grow some more for another harvesting over the next couple of months.

Herbs harvested:

Peppermint
Grapefruit Mint
Lemon Balm
Hyssop
Lemon Verbena
Lemon Thyme
Golden Sage
Oregano
Tarragon
Rosemary

In honor to Mother Earth I lit my green Candles, cut 2 of my garden gown Gladiolas and stuck them in a reused old Olive Oil Bottle as a means of a Vase and hung my small pentacle wreath around the neck of the bottle. I smudged the area with a Rosemary smudge stick then I lit my sage and sweet grass loose leaf incense and thanked the Goddess and Mother Earth for bringing these wonderful herbs and growing them strong and healthy for me. Early this morning I bundled each herb up and hung them along my island hanging cabinets to dry out. So when I am in need of some I just snap a twig or two as they are hanging right in reach for cooking.

My Full Moon Altar received a clean up and was redecorated for a Thunder Moon Ritual

It was a very busy 3 days for me with all the preparations and harvest.
It was also a most magickal time, however I would have loved to having been in Hayward Wisconsin for this Full Moon to participate in the largest Midwest Pow-Wow to "Honor Mother Earth". Anticipation of 10,000 visitors from all over and over 300 Native American Dancers with Ethnic Foods & Drink made this gathering. I could hear the drums in my mind without even being there.

My celebration of Mother Earth consisted of many prayers, giving thanks, harvesting my herbs, a Midnight Ritual, a small drum circle visit, sharing some herbs and pouches with close friends, reflection, meditation, calling far away friends and my parents, magical cooking of some of my harvested vegetables, visualizing and the sending of healing energy to a friend.

I'm planning on going to the Pow-Wow next year since the date is always the same - the third weekend of July.

Where will you be?

How did you celebrate the Full Moon?

Blessings )O(
